Having been made aware of a serious moisture and mold problem in our crawl space, my wife and I had the daunting task of finding a fair and reputable company to get our house back in order. After first contacting a well advertised company as seen on TV and getting a price that was astronomical, we contacted Virginia Foundation Solutions, Inc. Within no more than two days, Danny Farris, the owner of the company, came out for an immediate consultation. He crawled under our house to first survey the problem, then sat down to discuss the problem and what would be needed to correct the many issues and ensure no further problems in the future. My wife and I decided to go with VFS, Inc. for two reasons: the price was considerably lower than their competition, but mostly because of the thoroughness of Mr. Farris’s explanation and knowledge of the work to be done. From day one, the work crew, led by Miguel, worked steady and tirelessly to complete the extensive work needed on our home. The crew was friendly, courteous and always polite. The job site was always cleaned at the end of the day. The project manager, Ted, was helpful in keeping us apprised on what was going on and at one point, providing a clean suit so I could tour the crawl space of my house to view the progress and view the repair work. During the course of repairs, it was discovered and apparent that additional work would be needed to replace additional floor joists and sub-flooring in one part of our house, something that was not in our budget! Talking with the owner of VFS, Inc., Mr. Daniel Farris, we were able to come to a more than generous and equitable agreement for the cost of the repair. Now that we are nearly in the home stretch, we thought we were in the clear. Unfortunately, we were thrown a curve ball when yet one more surprise was found, more damage…Again, talking with the owner, after quitting time on a Friday afternoon, he informed me that this repair would be, “On the Company, and for us not to worry about it, it would be taken care of!” With the work and care this company has put into my home, I could not have found a better company to take care of my needs. Nor could I recommend a better-qualified company to take care of your home. Quality and customer service are number one with VFS, Inc. from the top down!

Danny Farris from Virginia Foundation Solutions, Inc. tried to get me to hire him for $34,500 in foundation repairs. A licensed professional engineer told me the repairs were not necessary.

The team at Virginia Foundation Solutions(VFS) was a pleasure to work with. The initial visit from their inspector was very comfortable, unlike the pressure sales techniques of some of the other contractors. The inspector/estimator was very knowledgeable and walked us thru the entire process. The installation crew showed up on time and worked very hard. Their field supervisor checked on the job frequently and kept us posted on the progress. They even cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. Once the job was completely, someone came out to take after pictures to show that all the work had been done properly and gave me a copy of both the before and after pics. That was a nice touch. I received my warranties in the mail along with a hand written thank you letter. These guys are serious about customer service. Kudo's to the team at VFS for a job well done!

We got our crawl space encapsulated. Encapsulation went great until 2 weeks later when I discovered 1 inch of water inside my crawl space. A drainage system was not covered in our original estimate or even considered. We reached out to the company to get this fixed and were told that our $14,000 ivestment was wasted unless we pay another $9,000 on top of our already considerable investment. After trying to get this handled through the person that originally gave us our estimate we called the main office and was told he no longer worked there. My wife talked to the manager Derek and he RUDELY explained we could go to someone else if we thought it was too expensive. If we hadn't read the paperwork, we wouldn't have known that this VOIDS THE WARRANTY. The best they can do for this is $8,000 to fix a problem that they inherently created because it wasn't even discussed in our original quote. Very unhappy with how this is being handled and the professionalism of the manager. I do not recommend work through them although their workers are professional and kind.
