By Michael M.May 27, 2024Pool pump repair$85
Same issue as everyone else first American sends this guy by. Says the pool pump is burnet up had 10
Photos of my pool not one of the correct pump. Points at. Breaker and that was it. I then get an email
From
First American saying the pool pump doesn’t work becoase it was damaged during a Jim existent flood. There are no signs of flood they are on raised concrete blocks. He didn’t mention anything about flood he was here all of 2 minutes. Mainly taking pictures of the pool. First American doesn’t want to send qualified techs out always a teenager with 3 tools that never fixes it. Now my ac went out still haven’t fixed the pool issues wonder what excuse that will have this time. Always a battle with crappy techs. I think it would be cheaper and less of a headache to cancel. Always takes a month plus and hours of phone calls to

Run from this company. The absolute worst. First American Home Warranty uses this company and not sure whats going on...but they deny claims left and right, with no education of pools. Whoever they hire off the streets are clueless about pools , pool equipment etc. I will never let VISCO on my property again. If it were possible to give a negative -100 rating i would...they are this bad!! Save yourself the headache and RUN RUN RUN from this company. You will thank me later!! BTW....if you read all the complaints...seems to be an ongoing theme here!! Its unfortunate as well that I will being firing FAHW as well...since they took these losers word over my own...ever after i got a reputable pool company to prove that their diagnosis was incorrect......RUN FROM THIS COMPANY....THE WORST...SCALE OF 1-10....THEY ARE A ZERO!!!!!!! RUN RUN...

By Lj S.April 20, 2022Swimming Pool pump replacement
Unfortunately, my review pretty much mirrors the previous posted reviews. Visco representative came out on Monday 4/18 as part of our First American Home Warranty Service. Our pool pump that circulates the pool is dead and has to be replaced. As of Wednesday 4/20, Visco has not submitted a report to FAHW. First american has escalated the issue internally because I called yesterday and they sent Visco a reminder that they needed the report. Visco now has until 8:00 am on 4/21 to submit the report. If no report, they will send another contractor. Our pool has now been out of circulation since 4/16. Made the mistake of paying the co-payment up front. If I ever have a problem with the pool again, I will tell FAHW not to send Visco Home Services for the repair.

By Kathy L.January 21, 2022The home warranty company sent them to evaluate leaks and heating issues with my therapy spa.$2,220
We got off to a pretty good start but after my home warranty service and I paid $2220 in advance for repairing a therapy spa it went downhill! I contacted them about problems we continue to have with the spa. I made it clear that I would be responsible for the cost to resolve the problem. After several weeks they haven't even given me the courtesy of a return phone call or responded to my last email. PLEASE BEWARE! They are sympathetic and patronizing on the phone if you can talk to someone but that's all you get - lip service! Apparently they're all about the money and not customer service!

Visco has come to our home several times. No repair was covered. When he first came because our pool unit was shutting off, he reported to First American Home Warranty that it was a broken pipe due to the freeze, but did not inform us or give a quote so that he could prepare it. He was sent out again because theunit was shutting off and the polaris was not working, and said it was the polaris which again is not covered. We spent over $900 for a new polaris. He was sent again because our unit was still shutting off. He told me it was the module (which is very old). He said it was malfunctioning. He said because of the malfunction it continued to alarm, the pressure would rise and would shut off. He reported to FAHW that the module had a power surge and was burned, but never mentioned anything to me about a power surge or a burned module. Because it was reported as a power surge FAHW denied the claim and stated that the module would no longer be covered unless we bought a new one. Well it was not the module. it works. It was shutting off the pool because the pressure was climbing too high. The pool simply needed a filter cleaning. We did not need a new polaris or module. He came out 3 times but never thought to check the filter. He tells the homeowner one thing and FAHW another, which results in a claim denial. We have never had this many denials in over 9 years of being a FAHW customer. It seems he only comes out to receive the service fee but never does any work. If you try to call and get information, no one ever answers the phone, it always goes to voicemail.

I was very unhappy with this service company. I have been with First American Home Warranty for almost 14 years and this is our first experience with Visco Home Services. We have never had a problem getting this claim covered in the past. I filed my claim on 5/19/20 and the appointment was scheduled for 5/25. Since everything for this company is automated they rescheduled the appointment for 5/23. We tried to call and reschedule appointment, but never received a call back. The technician showed up at 8am and we did not hear the door so we missed the appointment. There were 2 cars in the driveway, and clearly we were home. Instead of this company rescheduling the appointment, they refunded the service fee back to First American Home Warranty, and since it was Memorial weekend we had to wait until 5/27 to get a message that a refund was issued. We had to resubmit this same claim and wait for another appointment. When he finally came out, without even opening the filter or looking in the skimmer to see what was the problem with the filter, he indicated that it needed to be serviced and that's why it wasn't filtering. We got the filter serviced and we still had the same problem. We had to resubmit the claim and wait for yet another appointment. He came out a third time, and after speaking to my husband he indicated the filter grids needed to be replaced, which we have had covered by First American Home Warranty in the past with no problems. The day after our appointment he sends his summary to First American Home Warranty saying that "he burned his eyes when opening the skimmer due to excessive chemicals in the pool". Now keep in mind our pool had not been maintained since the week of 5/11 due to filter problems, and no chemicals had been added to a pool with no working filter. The two chlorine tablets that were added at the end of April were nearly dissolved. I expressed my dissatisfaction with FAHW and they explained I have to pay a separate provider to come out and give me an invoice with the problem to resubmit for a claim. IF the service is found to be covered by FAHW, they would send Visco again for the repairs:( By now my pool has been green for weeks, and I had to cancel my contract with FAHW because I do not want this company at my home again.

I was very unhappy. It would appear that this one man operation has an arrangement with First American Home Warranty. His main objective is to find a way to deny the service. I have a cracked pool filter clearly covered in my contract, in fact the home warranty company had already tried to repair it. Barry was not aware of this though so he told them it was normal wear and tear, and that the homeowner knew nothing about their equipment. I argued this with warranty co. and they agreed to send Visco back out. On the day of appointment Visco decided they would not come out. very unprofessional

Do not use this company that is affiliated with Total Protect Home Warranty company. They take your deductible and never file the report to Total Protect so your warranty repair claim can be paid. Gary Kennedy

Had warranty work performed on my unit and each time the technician came out he seemed to cause another issue to arise. Over the course of two months had to call these people back out four times. On the last call, the technician installed the motor incorrectly which led to the unit freezing up. Upon him returning AGAIN, told me to turn off the a/c unit to allow it to thaw and would have to return again because he could not do any repairs with the unit frozen up. A day later, I noticed a large water stain on my living room ceiling. Upon the technician returning, we found out that during the time the unit was unthawing, the water dripped everywhere causing the water stain. The technician never informed us that we needed to take precautionary measures to prevent such an issue to occur. On top of it, the technician informed me that during his visit prior to the unit freezing up, he had incorrectly installed the motor which had led to the freezing up issue. When I called the company back to arrange repairs to my ceiling them informed me that they were not liable for the damage and I also found out the technician falsified his documents when he turned his work order in to the company. He stated he only had to install refrigerant to the unit. This was true however, he made no mention of the additional repairs he had to do to my unit. The person answering the phone, Carla, told me that she knew all about a/c and that I didn't know what I was talking about and that they were not liable for any repairs. I STRONGLY recommend not using these people EVER! They do not care about their customers, have to come out mulitple times to fix the issues because they won't take the time to do it right the first time, and then take FOREVER to schedule a visit to come out. I will be contacting First American Home Warranty and letting them know that this company is not welcome in my home ever again.

Run away from them! Do not let them near your home. I truly believe they sabotaged my pool filter so they could help deny a claim. Be weary of a home services company being hired to fix pool problems.
