Promise of low building cost to hook customers. They will make you sign paperwork on the verbal promise of low costs that bind you to paying for “Advising, Research, Consultation, and Design” all of which they are unaccredited to do. They will offer you two fee rates to make you believe you are getting a deal. You will be on the phone with them for hours because the “designer” does not know how to use the design software, leading the conversation into personal/social talk as she tries to figure out how to use the design software all the while you are being charged for services that they are not accredited to offer.
When the official written bid comes in it will be much more than the verbal agreement and they have already made you sign paperwork over changing you for their unprofessional and unaccredited services and stating that the change in cost is due to the customers finish choices when they never supplied you with allowances for those finish choices. They are charging you much more than the industry standard especially in Hilo. Do NOT use this company for your construction project.
