    Shame this builder. Vollkommen Construction. They will not authorize VA loans for vets and active military because it isn't part of their business model. What a bunch of assholes. And now, due to their business model of idiocy, we default on our loan contract and lose our earnest money deposit. I think they do it on purpose to make hard working people lose money they barely have.

    Crooks, scam artists, and traitors. DON'T DO BUSINESS with them. If you are in process and doing a VA loan, get out while you still can.

    We bought our first town-home from them and had THE WORSE experience.

    To mention a couple HUGE mistake
    1 we did not receive a copy of our warranty until 6 months AFTER we moved in. Even then we had to request our warranty from their website and it took 3 days for a response. Our Warranty was half way over before we got it

    2. We made NO CHANGES to our design. They installed hardwood floor in our flex room when we specifically and firmly asked for carpet. Once we pointed the mistake Vollkommen tried to get us to pay for their mistake

    3. We moved in Feb and was told that Vollkomenn would install our AC unit during Spring (we appreciated that because we were not using AC in winter). Their Expert came to install the AC unit and put it 3-4 feet away from the house (has caused insufficient air flow and causes the unit to work harder) and took 3-4 hours to install it, not to mention the AC unit DIDN'T WORK after he left.

    4. (related to point 3). We installed a Nest thermostat before the AC unit and all was well. Once the AC unit was installed our Nest was fried and we had to replace it (luckily Nest gave us a free one!). Basically the "Expert" Vollkomenn sent us behaved unprofessionally to my husband (became defensive and attacking) and didn't know what he was doing.

    5. Prior to moving in, We were NOT ALLOWED to visit the site without our realtor. Once our house was finished we went through to check for any undone tasks ie: paint jobs, nails sticking out, loose or chipped wood floors, door jams etc... We marked all we could see (as well as took pictures). It took 3 weeks for them to come fix a task as simple as tighten the hinges on the doors.

    6. Once we paid them, we never saw them again. They never came by to fix all the stuff we marked (which we understand now, we should not have signed until all that stuff was fix). Even for warranty stuff they wouldn't show up until it was too late.

    7. Our house was poorly built. Monthly we experience bad insulation. We have had many neighbors around us, that were also built by Vollkommen that complain about their utility bill being outrageously high.

    8. Last point. When Vollkomenn tried to get us to pay for their mistake of putting in the wood floor upgrade. The associate I spoke to was extremely unprofessional. They insulted me, were not understanding in the slightly, very narrow minded and easily angered. Don't know if that associate still works for them, but all associates we encountered were behaviorally unprofessional.

    I would NOT recommend them to anyone. In fact if you are currently working with them. I sure hope you know exactly what you want and are willing to fight for it. That is the only way we didn't pay for our wood floor upgrade because we fought (literally verbal battle).

    We have lived in one of the properties that Vollkommen built for about a year now. We have loved living in Edgewater, anytime we have had interaction with Vollkommen's staff we have felt like they are very professional and respond quickly if we need anything.

    I purchased a building from Mike Miller in march of 2015 and couldn't be happier. The detail that was added to the exterior of the building exceeded my expectations. I had tenants before I was handed keys at closing. The units were clean and have had no issues since. Highly recommend for owners and investors! I will be looking to purchase more from Vollkommen in the future.

    Worst Contractor

    I have never had worse issues with a house in my life. They did quick and poor work, I"m still confused as to how my house passed inspection. They cut every corner possible and in return the house which was built in March is already falling apart. I have had the entire electrical go out do to shorts in the wiring, pipes burst and cause tons of water damage, outlets that don't work, and The AC unit was set up to drain wrong causing more water damage. The best part is we bought the year long warrant and they still don't fix anything. I have giant holes in the sheetrock where they fixed the pipes around 3 months after they started leaking. Now they have promised for over a month to fix the sheet rock. If your building a home go somewhere else! You'll regret going with Vollkommen. My neighbors also have Vollkommen homes and have had worse issues than me... I smell lawsuit.

    Exactly as promised

    I've bought three investment properties from Vollkommen Construction. I've found the value/sq ft and the return on investment to be good enought that I will continue to purchase more properties as many as I am able. I have never had a problem getting warrantied any service requests that were part of the builder warranty and the returns have been incredible in addition to the equity I've built with his buying program with FIG.

    Bad Risk

    Would not recommend Mike Miller or Vollkommen. Will not come back to fix shoddy work (using hose pressure to make hole for needed piping under concrete!) Now garage and driveway slabs are cracking up and I'm worried corner of my house will sink any day! Got him on the phone 3 months ago and Mike said he would come take a look, now he does not answer his phone or return messages when I call...avoid Mike and find a builder who doesn't shirk but stands behind his work!

    Too many broken promises

    We were one of the very first investors with Vollkommen Construction coming out of a volatile market. They worked through some of the growing pains and there were some things not done perfectly, but addressed in a win-win fashion to our satisfaction in the end. As for an investment we were able to build our wealth and received great returns on investment in the Utah market with Vollkommen Construction and FIG (Fourplex Investment Group)
