I hired Steven Volpe to pour a concrete addition to my driveway and walkway. He began the job on October 29, 2019, finishing the pouring the next day. I paid him $4,500 in cash and was told he would come back in a few days to pull the forms, back fill around the edges of the concrete and clean up all residual concrete and garbage. I told him to leave the left over top soil so I could use it at my discretion but instead he spread it throughout my yard in useless places. On November 12 he sent me a text saying the truck would be there first thing on November 13th to remove the forms and remove the debris. November 13th I received a text from Steven that he had a problem with the truck and would be there to finish the job on November 14. November 14th the crew arrived to remove the forms and Steve texted that he would return to pick up the garbage and pile of concrete next week. By November 23 I had not heard from him and texted to see when he was planning to return to complete the job that he had already been paid for. He then called me with an angry attitude and promised he would come for everything in a week or so. December 5 he texted that the snow set him behind. December 20th I texted to again inquire when he was going to pick up the debris and he called, again with angry attitude stating that he will get to it. December 27th he texted that he would get to it (picking up debris) towards the end of the next week. January 15th I texted Please come pick up the garbage and he responded that he had been nice (OMG) and would get to the house "whenever". I advise anyone considering doing business with this man DO NOT DO IT.
