Last month, I woke up to guys pounding on my door. When I was able to step outside I could see a crew of men preparing to dig in my side yard. The contractor, Walter Wells was apparently unfamiliar with the "zero property line" designation, and had no idea that he could not lawfully dig in my yard to attempt to repair my neighbor's foundation without my permission. I asked him to give me a detailed plan and timeline of what he had planned to do, a promise that he would restore the side of my yard, and assurances that he was licensed and bonded. Before he was able to give me assurances, the crew started to dig. Wanting to do the right thing for my new neighbor, I allowed them to work, and they promised to restore my side yard. When they had "finished," the proper grade had not been restored to my yard, the workers had buried trash, tools, and my sprinkler heads. When it rains, instead of draining into the new french drain they supposedly installed or into the street, it pools in my side yard. He refuses to fix it...saying it is now an issue I have to take up with my new neighbor. Looks like I will have to call an attorney. I wouldn't have given him even 1 star, but you have to give at least one to post a review.
