April 2023, I purchased a house with a pool built by Waterside Pools Inc, and because of poor quality, workmanship, lack of attention to details during the build, rust from rebar began to develop/emerge from the pool wall within the first 18 months. The pool construction build began in 2020 and completed spring 2021. Rust from rebar appeared within the first 18 months and again less than 1 year after being repaired under warranty with previous owner in 2022/23. Unbeknownst to me, and not disclosed in sellers disclosure, I moved 10 months after closing 2/2024 to discover the warranty repair failed, and the rust rebar damage returned. I contacted Waterside Pools, Inc., owner, Jason Pavlow, requesting he honor the warranty and repair the rust/rebar damage. He refused, stating the warranty does not apply to new owner and to contact someone else, further suggesting I contact separate companies to repair. He stated they don’t do repairs. I stated and provided pictures of the “failed warranty work”and requested he stand by the his workmanship and in good faith repair the rusted damaged area.
His second reply, sure we’ll give you an estimate to repair but it’s not free! Additionally, two of the three Hayward 160/320 color logic led pool lights failed with less than 500 hrs due to improper installation.
So why would I pay them to fix something they’ve failed at (initial build and warranty repair) and be expected to pay? A company that doesn’t stand by their workmanship and warranty is not a company I will hire nor recommend.
I may have not been the original owner, but trust me, I paid for that pool in the sale of home at $450k vs purchase price of property next door w/o pool selling for $350k.
