  Our Wausau house is 2/3 finished and the builder declares BANKRUPTCY! Wausau says it is not liable of ANYTHING, even though we paid 90% of the "firm-fixed-price" and didn't even get the supplies from Wausau that we paid for.

  I was builder with Wausau homes since 2015-2020 and built approx. 25 homes with them, They are a poorly ran company that lives by marketing their promises but do not meet any of their promises,
  Jay Schutte the owner has stolen money from us, and billed us for windows we never ordered and raised most firm prices and in 2018 firm price went to guess price and we were charged many thousands of dollars more for homes already at the bank under contract.
  My advise stay away from this company and check out how many builders went bankrupt before buying a house pkg or becoming one of their builders that care less about.
  Do not trust management or BDMs

  Beware of fraudulent statements and promises by Wausau Homes on their website. Wausau Homes will be under investigation by the Attorney General because of these fraudulent promises and their poor business contract which is written to protect the company and not the consumer. Have your Wausau Home contract examined by your own attorney before you sign anything. We found out the hard way because Wausau Homes does not reveal or explain their disconnection with the builders they employ to build your home. You have to use these Wausau builders and when you have a problem Wausau Homes ignores your cries for help. Our house is currently 1/2 completed 10 months after signing our contract on 2/17/18. The Wausau builder is not finishing our home and Wausau Home President Jay Schuette will not offer any help to us. Instead he states our problem is not with them and he refuses to help us in any way. A lot of promises are made on the website to build you a quality home but these promises are all empty and hollow. This is why they will be investigated along with the bad contract they expect you to sign. In just the past year alone and within a 50 mile radius there are 4 families who have been harmed financially and emotionally by Wausau Homes. Go to our TV news story of 11/28/18 found on channel 9 Dubuque. It was an investigative report. Terrible and horrible company led by an evil President Jay Schuette and his Business Development Manager Joe Loftsgard. The way the Wausau Home's contract is written it protects the company only. The only thing Wausau is interested in is taking your hard earned money. When problems arise during the construction process they use their carefully worded contract to legally sit back and refuse to help you. WAUSAU HOMES WILL NOT STAND BEHIND YOU OR HELP WITH CONSTRUCTION PROBLEMS BECAUSE THEIR CONTRACT IS WRITTEN TO LEGALLY ALLOW THEM TO IGNORE AND REJECT YOUR CRIES FOR HELP. Bad Evil Company and Led by evil people in President Jay Schuette and Joe Loftsgard Business Development Manager.

Wausau Homes is being considered for investigation by the Attorney General's office because of their poor business contract which is written to protect Wausau's interests but not the consumer. Have your Wausau contract examined by your own attorney to protect yourself. We found out the hard way because Wausau does not reveal their disconnected business relationship between them and their affiliated builders who you have to use. If you have a construction problem Wausau will simply ignore your cries for help. Our house is currently 1/2 finished after 10 months since 2/17/18 and having spent $266,000 The builder is not capable of finishing our home and Wausau's President Jay Schuette will not offer any help to us. Instead he states our problem is not with him or his company and refuses to help us. (we will let the Attorney General conduct his investigation Mr Schuette) A lot of promises are made on Wausau's website to build you a quality home your way but these promises are all empty and hollow. That is why they are considered for investigation. In just the past year alone 4 people within a 50 mile radius have all been hurt by the selfish contract they signed with Wausau Homes. Go to our news story featured on channel 9 TV Dubuque which aired 11/28/18. Terrible and deceiving company led by their president Jay Schuette who is very unethical and dishonest. The way their contract is written it clearly demonstrates that the only thing they are interested in is taking your money and casting the blame for any construction problems between you and your builder.

  Wausau Homes will not stand behind you or your problems with your house because their Wausau Contract is written to allow them to legally ignore & reject your cries for help. Bad company, Bad contract and Evil President. Shame on you Mr. Jay Schuette. Also Shame on Joe Loftsgard who is Wausau's Business development manager. Contact us if you like.
