    Be very cautious of this company.

    In my writing I hope to inform potential customers. I do not intend to condemn, instead I plan to share my experience and feelings to help others avoid the mistakes I made.
    To start, their salesmen will say anything to get you to get a contract with Williamson Bros, whether they intend to follow through or not. In my particular case, I was promised that I would have my existing deck removed and when the project was over, I would have sod put down for free. Giving credit where it is due, my deck was taken out for free but when it came time for sod, our discussion was completely forgotten.
    Leading up to and throughout the completion of the project, both communication and job-site cleanliness were lacking. After bringing this to the attention of management, there was no change. I would regularly come home to workers that I had no idea they would be there, find myself having to clean up materials and trash when they left, and calling to find out when larger trash would be removed from my property.
    By far the most disappointing part of this was that the project was over the original quote. It started out with an extra load of dirt and ended with an “unexpected/unanticipated” $1200 engineering fee. Interested in why I was receiving such a large charge, I called the company who charged WB for this fee. It was explained to me that this is something that must be done in all seawall projects and in no way could it be unexpected or unanticipated.
    I received a quote from another company prior to the project starting (Honc) and ultimately decided to go with WB because they had the lower quote and assured me that there was little to no chance that there would be any additional fees. When all was said and done, the Honc quote was less than the final price from WB. (Expensive) lesson learned.
    For $30,000 I expected more, I expected to be treated like a valued customer. Instead it felt like I was a burden. Those who have read this, please explore your options and learn from the mistakes I made.
