The best way I think to explain my experience/education is to do it in bullet points. Keep in mind that I take full responsibility for not asking the price but I think it is important for others to know when making a well-informed decision on how to proceed with home improvements/repairs. While it may be industry standards, these prices were at the very top of the installation charts conducted by a Forbes 2021 study.
* 1 plumber - $95.00 per hour (installed new shower faucet/handle/access panel
* 1 "apprentice" - $55.00 per hour (installed toilet) (installed bathtub overflow drain with trip lever "5 minutes" according to apprentice
* travel time to Lowes/Fergusons for items - 13.5 miles
* 40% mark up on all items (I have no idea and definitely no one thought to mention it to me
* 6 hours, 2 workers, clear/unobstructed work area, toilet and shower faucet and handles installed = .......... $1,543.54
Did I mention that the bathtub handles were crooked and are both loose but they wouldn't come and fix without charging me.
