Weindhart’s remodeling did not properly shut down my cabin in December 2024. Upon entering my cabin to re open it in March 2025, they discovered the fittings to the shower had come off. Their explanation was,”Someone else must have been in the cabin, put in a different antifreeze than they used and took off the fittings.” No- There was still pressure and water in the lines. No one else had been in the cabin until the reopening. Security system is in place to verify this. I have shut it down every winter for 15 years. Their explanation was, “Does someone have your code?Looks like they went in there to shower.” Additionally, it was determined by a professional that my water softener was ruined and inoperable due to freezing. Whole house water filter was also shattered. The explanation was, “That was old.” This was due to the cabin not being properly shut down. This company caused me thousands of dollars in damage. In addition, they stated they had photos to show the shut down, which were never provided when asked on multiple occasions. Do not do business with this company. Will be seeking further actions against company in reference to water softener. I provided multiple chances to rectify the situation.
