Pleasant building experience and great people. If you have built before you know the first few months it feels like nothing is happening because it is all behind the scenes dealing with government always takes longer than expected, but once the building starts its a breeze.

We closed on our construction loan over 7 months ago. We made one change, to the entrance of a bathroom on an interior, non load bearing wall. After 3 months of nothing happening I was told that our change order had been the cause of the delay. Then after another 2 months they finally got permits. They failed to include Lake counties impact fees in the contract price and I assumed that they had, so we will have to pay $10k before we are able to occupy. Now we have an invoice to $1600 to cut down trees because, as they tell me, trees are not included in land clearing. When we went to the color selection appointed I was surprised to find that for a $260k home I was still choosing from builder grade options as anything else was an upgrade. I hesitated to leave a review prior to them building our house, but since they haven't started after more than 7 months I don't want anyone else to go through this. Save your sanity and go with another company. Even if they cost more, it is worth it in the end.

After not doing my due-diligence prior to moving to Florida and looking for a new home, I can say that I feel as though I've made one of the biggest mistakes of my life with the purchase of a new-construction home built by Weitlund Construction, LLC!! First and foremost, the professionalism was nonexistent after I signed my initial offer paperwork. If I could have walked away from this nightmare I would have but I was moving here from out of state and everything was in place so I couldn't. The quality that I have experienced, I would not wish on anyone. The experiences that I have had with this company, I would not want anyone else to have to endure either. With two exceptions, everyone that I have encountered lacks the ability to act with integrity OR professionalism. It literally feels like a nightmare to me. Paying for something that I am totally unhappy with, in MANY aspects. Do your research as I deeply regret not doing when I had the chance.
