We learned of The Weldon Brothers through a neighbors' positive recommendations. After meeting them and discussing the work involved we signed the contract and we are so happy that we did! They totally redid our kitchen space opening it up and removing and rebuilding walls. Adding texture to walls and ceilings, and laying new floor in remodeled areas of the house. They built showers in both bathrooms and tiled the walls. Our project was extensive throughout the house. They work with an excellent plumber and helped us with the electical as well where needed. We mostly dealt with Mark Weldon and Danny A. and they are such honest, hardworking, craftsmen. Polite ,courteous and very easy to have in your home. They were on the project daily and were excellent communicators about what to expect in the coming days and weeks. We would wholeheartedly recommend Weldon and Weldon for any size remodel project. Integrity and Professionalism plus.

Well I can only speak from my experience with Mark & Jack. They committed to building my large redwood deck and quoted a very reasonable price. The time frame the estimated was right on schedule. The work/craftsmanship was and is beautiful and construction sound. I am going to use them to do other construction projects around our home. Besides being the ultimate professionals they are really "nice and personable" guys. I highly recommend them. Try it you'll like it.

By John G.April 16, 2016Garage build and enclose patio$120,000120 days
Weldon Weldon came recommended to us from our realtor. She had nothing to say but positive. We hired them to build a detached garage. After several sets of plans we finally agreed. (It was us who made the changes, not them). The garage was completed in a timely fashion. They had extremely little waste of materials used. Clean up was complete. They made sure the subcontractors also cleaned up their portions.
Once they completed the garage, we hired them to enclosed are patio. This was completed also in a timely fashion. Part of the construction was to insert sky lights. They made sure that the skylights did not leak.
When they painted, they covered everything so not to have paint splatters all over. Which there were none found.
They came in on budget for both projects. We could not be more pleased.
Thanks Mark and Jack. -

When my husband and I were ready for a major renovation to our 70's home, the Weldon brothers came highly recommended. Fact is, our neighbors had a great experience with them during the previous year. While their pricing came in significantly lower than many other bids, the quality of their work and timeliness exceeded our expectations. Additionally, they came in on budget.
We couldn't have been happier with their professionalism, quality and craftsmanship. We would be proud to recommend them to anyone needing a quality contractor in this area.

By Dan C.December 17, 2015kitchen and 2 bathroom remodel$3,50015 days
Mark and Jack did two projects for us in 2014 and both were done to perfection and within budget despite turning out to be a much bigger job than originally estimated to the point that we actually paid them more than they had quoted and expected us to pay. The other review sounds so absurdly unlike our experience that I would question its content and assertions as both brothers were meticulously clean and very dedicated on our projects. As we all know sometimes a customer can be extremely difficult to deal with and you reap what you sow.

By Donita U.September 6, 2015Entire inside painting, doors, updates.$15,00045 daysWorst contractorRead more
I would never recommend Weldon Weldon contractors for anything. They deliver the worst craftsmanship I have ever seen. Anywhere from painting, to installing a door, to even just changing a door handle, nothing was done correctly. They requested the money upfront, which was a mistake on my part. I didn't receive half of what was negotiated. Jack just got mad and left the site and Mark packed up with him leaving me with all the garbage to pick up out of the back yard, including broken glass. I had to hire others to come and help clean up their mess. I should have just sued them, but I'm here to warn all, do not hire them.
I am attaching a document on their letterhead, a pdf they sent me of quoted prices and my excel spreadsheet of what I wanted.
Mark and Jack stayed at my home in South Dakota to do this work. The first 3 weeks they were here they did next to nothing, by Mark's own accord. They were down town enjoying the pubs by 4 PM each day. Also, Mark's girlfriend came here for 5 days of which they did very little work. They then tried to get everything done within the next 4 weeks.
I would also like to add that on the flooring, they were told to put "floor fill" in a crack in the foundation and to save money they filled it with sand. Well in washing their clothes (after stuffing a rag down the drain) they over ran the drain and the sand that they just put under the flooring all washed up under the flooring and while they were here I mentioned it to them, they refused to talk about it. I now have waves in my kitchen hall and spare room flooring.
Mark and Jack got into an argument a few days before they left. Then next thing I knew Jack was packing up the pickup as Mark was installing the French doors and they were gone. These French doors have a 1 inch gap at the bottom and no weather stripping, I live in South Dakota.
When Mark removed the old sliding glass doors upstairs he broke it and there was glass everywhere, of which he did not pick up. I have two young grandchildren that are always here.
The list of things I did not receive that was on that list, the bedroom door downstairs, the French door on the closet upstairs. They pained one coat of paint upstairs and did not tape or texture anything upstairs. I did not get a new shower stall. I only received 1/2 of the new floor boards they were going to install. In the kitchen they put new covers over old outlets which leaves a big gap between the plug in and the wall. The items with the checkmarks on their PDF are what I did not receive, but I paid for. They were to remove popcorn ceiling in kitchen and instead painted over it.
I had to pay for someone to haul all of the construction debris from the yard (which they said they would). They did not clean up after themselves at all, they left everything for me to put back. I had to fly my children home to help me with this. I was in tears and out of money. Not to mention I paid for half of the lighting fixtures and a fan that was installed. I paid for the carpeting and the laying of the carpeting. I paid for all of the flooring, they only installed the wood like flooring.
Also, a week after they left I was sitting in the dining room and there was a loud noise, it was my bedroom door falling off the hinge. When I went to investigate they had put a matchbook cover in it and use a 1 inch screw. They had also decided to paint all the doors in the house, well they did so with one coat of paint over wood doors. Imagine how much of that has come off by now.
In the beginning he said, we are way under budget, I will have to give you some money back, as another thorn in my side, he made me pay for the entire project upfront. I trusted him as I had met him and he had sent an email, also below, promising me they would do a great job. This was my worst nightmare.
I wrote to Mark my concerns and he just said there was more to do then what they thought, however Mark was out 6 months prior to go over everything. My daughter and boyfriend tried talking to them, as they were friends with them, and Mark would not respond. There is still so much wrong with the house that I am working on redoing.

I just want to say that Donita U.'s review of Weldon and Weldon General Contractors in September of 2015 is unfair and unfortunate. This incident happened when they were just beginning the business. They went to South Dakota (from Prescott, AZ) in good faith to complete this job and it was not an ideal situation. The business has come a long way since then!
