Well Built Carpentry and Builders

This company is despicable. Contracted them for a major house renovation which they got 90% of their payments and they walked off the job. Frank Staffa lied about why the subs were not completing their work only to find out he was not paying the subs. When he was confronted we again lied saying the subs were not working at our house because they were busy with other projects. At the same time, the subs were calling and telling us they had not gotten paid. He then proceeded to threaten that he would sue us and lean our house if we didn't pay him. Avoid this company if you don't want to be ripped off

The owner Frank Staffa operated very dishonestly. The work done was of a very poor standard. A total waste of money. When asked to come and inspect he reluctantly eventually did so. However, he quickly started shouting and stormed out of the house rather than try and resolve the many issues. His contractors for some reason are very fearful of him. If I could give no stars I would. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere.

First let me say our home and the work turned out fine however for the headache, the asking for additional money from us and our bank, misleading contract, Unprofessional and more I would highly recommend choosing a different company. We have now been in a two month dispute about and chase to get money owed to us from the “allowance and credits” from their contract. They provide a low estimate only later to say our basement project was not included in the contract when was clearly in our drawings as well as discussed in depth about creating an in law suite. STAY AWAY

Great work! Frank was so helpful and really helped make my dream home. The other workers were polite, friendly, and super helpful.

Many contractors are bad, but this company is the worse. The owner – Frank Staffa is a crook, bully and greedy so you don’t want to do any business with him. He will give you a cheap estimate at the beginning, but once you agree he will omit a few items in the contract, and ask for extra money later. After he demolishes half of your house, he will threat you to leave the job in the middle. The job was done carelessly, with damages to parts that should not have been touched at all. His subcontractors are not much better. Overall the job was never fully completed, and the parts that were completed look bad

Be careful, very careful and do not be seduced by the low estimate. Guaranteed, he will extract his pound of flesh along the way. The owner is a very disturbed person who employs a mix of crews and thug like subs who are sullen and complaining. He is rarely on site and relies on second hand info from his lackeys who seem to fear him. He yelled at me and used profanity in an effort to intimidate and extract money above that stated in the contract. Constantly tried to double bill me for items listed in the contrac; it was like a cat and mouse game of wits that he seemed to ejoy and was very practiced in doing.I was forced to watch every thing that happened under a microscope in order to insure what I wanted was done and I was not being ripped off It was very unpleasant and stressful; decent work done but not worth the hassle. An ego-maniac who will try to fool you and slick talk you if he can. Think twice, three times. Seriously.
