The crew that came from Wellman Fencing were always on time, worked hard, got along with each other with no tension or stress. They seemed to all work well together as a team. Dealing with me, they were always polite and professional and they explained things as they went along. They came in and did exactly what they said they were going to do. The head of the crew saw a hole in the ground since the fence is on a bumpy hill and warned me because he feared my little dog would squeeze through so I told him to do the best they could. I came back from work that evening and they had actually trenched underneath about 11 sections, digging directly underneath each section of fence along the entire back property line, allowing the fence to sit perfectly flat and level on the ground! I imagine the amount of extra work that would’ve been required to do that would be at least 3 additional hours. When I asked Dan (The owner) how much extra I owed him for doing all that additional work, he stated to me “there’s no extra charge. You bought us lunch and offered cold bottles of water throughout the day so this my way of saying thanks”. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with everything. My neighbor already came over and asked for their card because she liked my new fence so much. Thanks again!!

It's been several years since I've written a review for something. I'm just really picky and know the difference between quality and junk. I had my whole yard fenced in by these guys and I am more than happy. Dan came to my house to look at my yard and sat down with me and presented himself and what he had to offer so confidently and professionally. He had a binder full of fence styles, colors, locks, caps for the posts & even pictures from all previous jobs to show me consistency, I guess... I was so impressed that I hired him to do my fence without even calling anyone else. A lot of people would say that's generally a bad idea but like I said, the presentation was unlike anything I've ever seen. He really does care and loves what he does which is why i hired him the way I did. Three days later, they were back and finished the following morning. They even had a young lady follow behind them as they were working and wiping down each section and post as they were put in! I'm more than pleased. I hope someone gets use of this review.

The service from Wellman Fencing and particularly from Dan W. was great. I had wanted to replace my old, rotted wood fence in my backyard for awhile. I looked on Angie's List and found five companies to come out and give me an estimate. At first, Dan's estimate was not the lowest, but very close. The main reason why I decided to go with him was because he seemed the most honest. I am in the hills and part of my fence was attached to a makeshift retaining wall. Dan was the only one of the fence companies that told me I needed to replace part of the wall or he would not do the work. He said that he could certainly put the fence up but, if the wall was not repaired first, the fence would not last beyond a few years. He gave me the name of a company who could do the repairs but stressed that I could call any company and get it done. He was not trying to push any particular company on me. None of the other fence companies mentioned the need to replace the wall. After more research and contacting some companies to repair the wall, I'm glad I decided to get it done because the wall was certainly failing. In addition to Dan’s honesty, he was very attentive to all my concerns and made sure the work to replace the fence was done to my satisfaction. Dan takes great pride in his work. I love my new fence and my new retaining wall and I would recommend his services to anyone.
