Just before the summer heat started, our A/C blew. My mother and I do not handle heat well, so A/C is vital. In the summer, A/C is life. Originally Sears installed our A/C some 20+ years ago, so we had them back to check it out and hopefully, fix it. Little did we know, Sears was gonna charge us $12,000 for just a new A/C. Through my sister, we heard of Wes Gardner, who had done an A/C job for her, and we just decided to check out his price, since we didn't have an extra 12 Grand laying around. Going to an independent contractor, Wes, saved our pocketbook, and our lives, because mom and I would have melted. We got a new a/c, a replacement electrical line that had blown and blown out the A/C (or vice versa, unsure), new intake vent covers, and a heater for $8,000. (Heaters have the fan in it that act as the blower for the a/c that sends your cold air throughout the house. Ours was 25+ years old, older than our busted A/C. So it made sense to replace it since they had to take it out to get at the air conditioner guts underneath. Sears wanted to charge us an additional $5,000 for a new heTer, plus $1,500 for the electrical work).
The setup went nicely, and just in time for the massive heat wave. He and his guy were in and out in two days. Do yourself, your home, & your pocketbook a favor and call Wes.
