I am from Yuba City, not Olivehurst. I wrote the latest review. Wesner and Sons are great!

My wife & I have been very pleased with the work of Wesner & Sons. They remodeled our rec room, dining room, patio cover, and replaced all our single pane windows with double panes. Their work was that of real craftsmen. We can recommend them with confidence.

We have hired Wesner & Sons to come out to our home on multiple occasions to do various work on our house. They have installed mouldings and custom kitchen cabinets, which all turned out beautiful. We have scheduled them to come back to install all new windows and a front door. They have always been very professional and courteous, and have arrived on time as scheduled. They have a very high quality of workmanship, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Do not use these people. I found them on craigslist and was impressed with the words and cleanliness, but got really awful quality work. I wanted the exterior of a recently-installed dog door modified to add a step. Instead they pulled off the well-installed interior trim, put it all lower, taking out the baseboard. They said "it was easier this way, the dogs can get out". No, they can't, and besides why didn't you call and ask me about your idea to modify? Well, this works better, that's what they said! Then to the front with exterior window trim they'd installed that is recessed in the wall, the stucco sticks out further than the trim! The sills are flat. Why, I ask? Scott says that's what I wanted, he thought it was wacko but wanted to be sure to do exactly what i wanted. So first he makes changes, then he does something totally stupid, blames it on me and then says I'm wacko. All in a few minutes, then it ended up with yelling at me. I'm old, smart, know what I'm doing. Later he comes back in an unmarked truck, taking pictures and me asking for his company name, license number--he refuses saying look it up online, you'll figure it out. No card, no written agreement, but I'd seen the lettering on the first truck when I came home before they took off, and connected it with the craigslist e-mail address. It feels so bad to have let these guys screw things up, they even used my materials so I'm out money as well as now having a bigger hole in my wall than the dog door, which they installed so that I can't get the "door" part out without a tool and lots of work. I am really telling those who read this do not use these guys!

Permits
- Building permit records show that Wesner & Sons Custom Woodworking has worked on 11 permitted projects.
Wesner & Sons Custom Woodworking has done cabinet projects in our home on three different occasions. It's not always easy to find craftsmen who are proficient in their specialty, so when we used W&S for the first time and found their work to be absolutely extraordinary, we told everyone how please we were with their work. That particular project was a bedroom makeover for a teenager that included an entire wall of bookshelves and a study desk as well as organizing her closet with custom shelving and hanging space. We shared our ideas and goals for the bedroom with W&S and they made thoughtful suggestions that improved upon them. They performed their work in a timely fashion and as promised, and their attention to detail was absolutely marvelous. The completed project exceeded our expectations and added value to our home.
Our second project with them was a smaller bedroom storage piece. Their suggestions about the shape and overall size of the cabinet in relation to the room's other features resulted in a piece that is clearly proportional and functional--much better than we could have done without their input.
The third project involved resizing and repurposing an existing built-in to accommodate a new flat-screen TV and associated video and audio equipment. It is almost impossible for us to see where the old cabinetry stops and the new stuff begins! Will we use them again in the future? Absolutely!
In short, we are satisfied repeat customers who value Wesner and Sons Custom Woodworking for their integrity, honesty, reliability, and pride in workmanship. They do a fantastic job!
