I would NEVER recommend hiring Nathan Wheat for any work whatsoever, ever. His work was awful and resulted in major future damages and massive expenses to my home. When I approached Nathan Wheat about fixing everything, and I even offered to pay him to remove his concrete problems, not only did he refused, lie, but also denied any wrongdoing and basically walked away and refused to help me. Do NOT hire or trust this man. You will regret it and I hope nobody has to go through such a costly, painful, disrespectful and unprofessional experience.

His crew showed up on time with short notice, which was a good start. But that is where it ended. First, they were very sloppy: they tracked concrete through my home on their shoes, spilled concrete on my plants, damaged part of the yard, and cleaned up nothing. Then they denied any wrongdoing when confronted about these matters. I would not recommend them to anyone.

NOT dependable at all is an understatement. Nathan was given some parts to hold that were to be used on our property. WHICH he didn't and still has. I have asked repeatedly for the money back on it. So still waiting. Guess we'll meet up in a courtroom. I wish there was a minus star to be used!

By AnonymousMarch 31, 2015Pour a concrete pad in our pole barnNathan Wheat-Wheat Concrete Services Not DependableRead more
3/25/2015 Nathan Wheat, while very personable, is not someone that I have found to be dependable. He visited my pole barn project twice about 2 weeks prior to when the work was suppose to begin and on both occasions, he promised that he would start on the tasks of excavating, forming, pouring and finishing on 3/23 by 8:30AM. You guessed it...no show on 3/23 and no call or communication to advise of his change in plans. I called & called & called him all day on 3/23 and finally, when I used my cell phone with an out of state phone #, he answered right away and advised that he would bring his equipment to the project at the end of the day on 3/23 and begin on the morning of 3/24. YOU GUESSED IT...no show on 3/24 and no call/communication to advise of his plans. From that point, after having had all of my men here on the project two days in a row and ready to do what we needed to do to facilitate his concrete work, I decided to check him out further. I called a phone number of one of his employees (Norman) and his phone # was inoperable. I then called his father (Timothy/Tim/Timmy Wheat - Wheat Construction, Inc.) to see if he would help me contact Nathan and he advised that he would have Nathan call me right back...YOU GUESSED IT...no call back and Timmy would not answer my repeated phone calls to him. From there, I called all 4 of the local concrete companies dispatch numbers and also their concrete sale people and it came as no surprise to me that neither the dispatch houses nor the sales people could locate Nathan...one of the sales people called him nearly 20 times on 3/24 and Nathan wouldn't answer his call. I then drove to Nathan's apartment in Salem...no one home. I then drove to his ex-wifes home...she tried to call him and Nathan wouldn't take her call. Finally, after 2 days of hunting Nathan Wheat - directly and indirectly, I concluded that he is not the kind of guy that I would ever want to grace my property nor to ever have any concrete dealings with. Oh yes, I googled "Nathan Wayne Wheat in Franklin County" and you won't believe the first post that came up!
BEWARE of Nathan Wayne Wheat d/b/a Wheat Concrete Services...he has proven his dependability by is actions - pure and simple. If you'd like to get independent reference on this guy, call some of the sales people with the concrete companies and ask if Nathan Wheat is dependable, why Nathan has to pay for all concrete on a COD basis and what else they know about him.

I would NEVER recommend this concrete services. They are very undependable. He promised to meet me at our building site 3 different times and never showed. He doesn’t answer phone calls. AN ALL AROUND BAD EXPERIENCE!!!
