I WENT TO HOME DEPOT TO ORDER 5 HURRICANE RATED WINDOWS FOR MY HOME NEAR PORT ST. JOE, FL. IN EARLY NOVEMBER 2021. ON NOV 17, 2021 AFTER CONTACT WITH A SALES PERSON FROM HOME DEPOT, I SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH THEM USING ANDERSON CABINET COMPANY AS THE SUBCONTRACTOR FOR THE WINDOWS AND THEIR INSTALL. THE SALESPERSON SAID THEY DO ALL THE WINDOWS FOR THE PANAMA CITY 28TH STREET STORE AND MOST HD IN FL. I WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE HD HAD INSTALLED SEVERAL OTHER WINDOWS IN MY HOME A FEW YEARS EARLIER USING A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR. I REALLY HAD CONFIDENCE THAT ACC WOULD BE AS GOOD AS THEY WERE.
IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FROM THE START! WE WAITED 5.5 MONTHS FOR 5 WINDOWS TO BE MADE - WHICH IS FAIR SINCE COVID WAS DOMINATING EVERYONES LIFE AT THAT TIME. WE WERE CALLED IN MID APRIL 2022 AND TOLD OUR WINDOWS WERE READY. THE DAY BEFORE INSTALL WE WERE TOLD THAT ONLY 4 WERE HERE AND THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DELIVER THEM UNTIL ALL 5 WERE THERE.
HOWEVER THE LEAD PERSON (WHO IS ACTUALLY IN MISSOURI)
AGREED TO HAVE THE 4 WINDOWS INSTALLED.
WHEN THE INSTALLER'S ARRIVED, ONE WINDOW WAS BROKEN. THEY INSTALLED IT ANYWAY WHICH WAS OK ......BUT ONE OTHER ONE BROKE FOR NO REASON 2 DAYS LATER. THE MO CONTACT REORDERED BOTH SASHES THAT HAD CRACKED. ONE SHOWED UP A FEW WEEKS LATER THE OTHER WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. ALL THIS TIME WE WERE ASSURED THEY WERE WAITING TO BE SHIPPED. THEN THEY WERE BEING TESTED THEN BEING MADE AGAIN . THESE LIES WENT ON AND ON FOR WEEK AFTER WEEK AFTER WEEK - LIE AFTER LIE. I CALLED THE FACTORY IN KENTWOOD, MI WAS TOLD A PERSON IN THAT "PAY GRADE" WOULD CALL SHORTLY - NO ONE CARED OR CALLED. I CALLED HD WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD CALL - NO ONE EVER DID - EVEN AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS TO THE PANAMA CITY STORE GM, HD COSTUMER SERVICE AND EVEN HD HEADQUARTERS IN GA.
WHERE WAS WINDOW #5 YOU ASK? FINALLY CAME IN. WAS INSTALLED ALONG WITH THE 2ND MISSING SASH - LOW AND BEHOLD IT CRACKED AS WELL! THESE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HURRICANE RESISTANT WINDOWS!
STILL WAITING FOR SASH #2. WEEKS PASS - MORE LIES AND EXCUSES! FINALLY ALL THE WINDOWS MADE IT TO THE TALLAHASSEE, FL WAREHOUSE. MY HUSBAND HAD TO BUY A PLANE TICKET FROM DENVER (WHERE WE ARE IN THE SUMMER) AND RENT A CAR IN PANAMA CITY, FL IN ORDER TO MEET THE INSTALLERS ON AUGUST 24, 2022. THEY MOVED THE DATE THAT WEEK 2X BECAUSE OF WEATHER THAT NEVER HAPPENED AND THE INSTALLER WANTED TO DO IT AGAIN BUT MY HUSBANDS FLIGHT BACK WAS THE FOLLOWING DAY SO THEY HAD TO SHOW. FINALLY, THEY WERE INSTALLED - JUST HOPE THESE HURRICANE RESISTANT WINDOWS DON'T CRACK AGAIN BEFORE WE GET BACK TO FL IN LATE SEPTEMBER.

On August 7, 2020, I signed a contract with White Aluminum to install windows on my patio and a screen onto my garage door; Mike Gilley was their salesperson. At that time, I was told by Mike that they were behind, and would get to my job, next year sometime. At no time did he tell me that I would have to pay a deposit on the job or that a charge would be placed on my credit card for the full amount of the job. Mike told me that Synchrony Bank would pay the $2500.00, and I would pay them back later. I had no idea that White Aluminum would charge me card, for the $2500.00, days later. I believe the hold on my card was done to block me from hiring someone else, to do the job.

I found out on August 19th, through my email alert, that White Aluminum had placed a hold on my credit card for $8448.01, and I was furious. I contacted Mike and he claimed to not know about it and was supposed to get with the office. I called the office also and the manager was not nice at all. I don't remember the full conversation, but it was very frustrating. Then on the 21st of August, White Aluminum charged my credit card $2534.40 for the deposit. Again, I was highly upset; no one told me anything.

I once again contacted the office and Mike, this time to cancel the job; I also called Synchrony Bank and told them what happened. The Representative at the bank told me to call White Aluminum and tell them I want to cancel, and to remove the hold on my account. Of course, I did and of course White Aluminum didn't. Instead, Mike called to apologize and claimed that they would move my job in front of everyone, since they had charged my card the deposit.

On August 25th, Jeff from White Aluminum came to take measurement of the windows and he said he would get the application for the permit with the City put in - don't know if that ever happened because that was the last time I heard from anyone from White Aluminum.

I once again contacted the office of White Aluminum in Leesburg today, October 27, 2020, about removing the hold on my credit card of $8448.01, and the charge of $2534.40. After about 10 minutes of being on hold, Christine the manager, who is very rude, came to the phone. I told her I want them to remove the hold on my card and she said, “WHY?” in a rude tone!! As I begin to explain to her why, she kept interrupting me, and we got into a shouting match and I hung up!! These people are unreasonable and all they want is money!! There is no reason why they should be able to keep my money, when they have not done any work and will not be able to in a while. I have a voicemail from Mike Gilley from Saturday, October 24th, stating they were having problems getting the windows. So why can’t they cancel the windows and remove the hold on my card? They are crooks and greedy for money. Mike lied to me in August when he said, they were putting me ahead of everyone else but now he says they cannot get the windows? He is a liar and the company should be shut down for taking people money and do bad business practices!! They 19 BBB complaints against them; they give people an estimate, take a deposit, and never show up for the job, or show up months later, half do the job, and give people problems about getting a refund!!

I want White Aluminum to remove the $8448.01 hold on my Synchrony Bank Home Design credit card, and I want them to remove the charge of $2534.40, they put on that same card - I did not authorize either transaction. I do not want to do business with them; they are crooks. All the Better Business Bureau complaints and reviews prove this company is scamming people out their money!!
