The following review is true and not exaggerated. I was the home owner and have 1st hand experience. BUYER BEWARE: The house quality itself was fine. The grading of the lot was TERRIBLE and not what I asked for at all. (they take all the good topsoil and sell it, which is customary, but you are left with orange clay and rocks, very hard to grow grass). They had to know they could not deliver (or would not deliver) what I wanted and yet they took my money and moved forward. I actually had a lot selected and they recommended I change lots to get what I wanted..... then in the end the original lot picked was more what I wanted and the one they steered me to was NOT. As the project moved forward, I voiced concern that the lot/grading was not what I wanted and was told "you can have your $1000 back", which was not helpful at all as I would have had to start over (certainly with a different builder). THE WORSE THING is: once Dewey and Natalie have your money, you will find it nearly impossible to reach them again. You likely will not get Dewey's cell phone # (I never did) and Natalie rarely answers a text. There is no "punch out guy" to handle issues after you move in. Unfortunately, this experience is not unique to just me. Walking around the friendly neighborhood I met MANY neighbors who also had bad experiences with Dewey Whitmore builder and his realtor Natalie.... story after story after story. Think ahead, be very specific and get details of what you expect in your contract.
