Mike Avant is a terrible contractor and does not know what he is doing. He will overcharge you and does not have any handle of timelines. His enormous ego will not allow him to take responsibility for his shortcomings and he is quick to shift blame. He has no subcontractors and is essentially a 2 man team. Which is him and his helper that follows him around. He is unprofessional and will leave job sites dirty and has no regard for the owners. He will also happily walk out on a project mid way and incomplete if he feels like. He is only readily available when he needs to pick up a check or wants money. Otherwise he will ignore your calls. Be very careful before you hire him. If you do be ready for continuous delays and cost overruns.
