By AaJuly 18, 2019AC replacement$2,000
I agree with the 2 negative listed experiences above. Bob Wilkes (419-481-4266) said that the AC was leaking and freon was added at $270. The ac worked overnight and the same problem all over again. Called Bob Wilkes and he said that the compressor was bad and that's why it was leaking. I was quoted $1900 for a new unit!! I asked him why he would charge me $270 for freon knowing the compressor was bad? So, we agreed on $1750. Gave him 50% down ($875) and the rest upon completion. Check was cashed immediately on Thursday so he would install it the next day. Bob Wilkes never showed Friday or Saturday with countless phone calls. Finally, Monday he said he would do it. Again, no show and he ended up blocking my phone number. I just filed a complaint with the OH Attorney General and BBB.

By TomDecember 24, 2015Replace furnace and a/c$4,8001 day
Mr Wilkes gave me a price to replace my old furnace and a/c system for 4800.00,
I had two other estimates. They where 5500.00 and 5800.00. So I went with Wilkes heating and air. They phone a good job and had it done in a day, even done a few things extra and did not charge me for them. I would still use him -

Would never hire him. He came as a recommendation from a reliable person. He asked for 50% down to buy my new furnace and ac unit. He never showed up and doesn't have the same number. Giant pain to track him down. Don't ever use him

By AnonymousMay 21, 2015Install AC unit$2,0001 dayWarranty and Installation issues
I would not recommend Bob Wilkes to anyone. I had my unit installed by him and it has never worked properly. It came with a 5 year labor warranty and 10 year parts warranty and I can not get him out to fix the unit. It stopped working 2 months after it was installed because it had a leak and I have tried for a year to get him to fix the issue and he hasn't done so. He says he will show up and doesn't. Always has to reschedule or push my job back. I had to have a 3rd party come out and fix my unit because after multiple attempts to have Bob fix the issue it was never fixed. Approximately $1100 later to a 3rd party service my unit is up and working. This cost is something I should have never had to pay because it was covered under my warranty. Definitely failed to hold up his end of the warranty.

By JayOctober 12, 2014found ignitor went out$165Bob Wilkes
Nice Guy and fast at coming to your house and taking care of the problem. Only thing I personal don't like is that he changes his phone number all the time and its hard to find him once he does this. But on the positive note he is a great contractor and knows his stuff.
