  Bill Whitmore; William Whitmore; Bob Whitmore a/k/a Whitmore Roofing a/k/a Buchanan Shingles or whatever name they choose to currently use, are thieves. They routinely and habitually perform shoddy work, if any work at all. I hired Whitmore to perform residential work. I and my neighbor both paid for the jobs, which never were started. After months of excuses, we fired Olde City Roofing and Bob Whitmore. We then had to file a lawsuit in order to get our money back, which is currently pending. Moreover, ABC 6 did a story regarding these criminals: abclocal.go.com/wpvi/story?id=9104508 I highly encourage anyone who needs a roofer to skip over these companies, who are all shells of the same people: Bob Whitmore; Bill Whitmore; Olde City Roofing; Whitmore and Sons; Buchanan Shingles.

  Do not hire this roofer. I hired Bob Whitmore of Olde City Roofing to replace a residential roof. He was paid in full for the job. Over 6 months have passed and no work was done. Finally, I fired him and asked for a full refund. Over 6 weeks have passed and despite numerous excuses, and him giving me his "word", I have continuously gotten "blown off." Even after threatening to sue him, he could care less. Accordingly, I have since filed a lawsuit against Bob Whitmore, as well as filed a report with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office. Despite being sued by an ex-customer, he continues to promise to pay me, but instead supplies me with a list of excuses as to why he cannot repay me. If anyone is reading this and is contemplating hiring a roofer, I would encourage you not to hire Bob Whitmore, Olde City Roofing. He is a thief and a liar.

  William T. Whitmore is run by the same crooks as Olde City Roofing, Whitmore & Sons Roofing, Bob Whitmore, Buchanan Shingles, etc. Beware! They will STEAL YOUR MONEY and never finish the job. Check for yourself by calling the Attorney General’s office and ask about Olde City and/or Bob, William and Bill Whitmore. Several of us who have been scammed have been working with the Mayor’s office to get the District Attorney to take action and arrest these scammers. If you have a complaint against Buchanan or one of the other company aliases, contact the Philadelphia DA and Lance Haver at 215-686-7598. We are on our way to having William and the rest of the Whitmores involved in this fraud taken off the streets and locked up.

  son bob & father bill whitmore also did an unfinished job to my 3 garages. job was to take 1 week in july 2012 & here it is january 2013 & job unfinished. they disconnected their phones
  i reported this mess to "service magic" which is now called "home care" on the internet since they recommended olde city roofing. i want to take action against the whitmores. i am waiting for home care to call back with some kind of response. i am also tracking their home address to try to get some of my money back. if anyone wants to take class action against these men please contact me @ [email protected] .

  I can also attest to the fact that Whitmore Roofing (olde city roofing) is the most dishonest group of people i have ever met. If they put as much effort into roofing as they did into lying and ripping people off they might be OK. We had work done by them and paid a significant amount of money for a new roof with supposedly a 20 year guarantee, only to have to redo their roof that leaked from day 1. The people redoing said they had never seen such a horrible job in 20 years as roofers. If the name Whitmore appears with roofing anywhere, run! I cannot stress this enough. Horrible horrible people that feed on people’s trust and goodwill. They are parasites in the truest sense of the word…one can only assume that Karma will pay them back.

  Bob Whitmore and Olde City Roofing ripped off my 86 year old mom. I hope to save someone from a similar nightmare. My mother hired Olde City to replace her roof. The contract stated that the entire job would be completed in three days by five men. It is now 75 days later, and well over 50 phone calls, texts and emails, and the job still isn’t done. Unfortunately, he was paid $15,000 in full and significant work remains unfinished. After 75 days, which I think all will agree is more than sufficient patience, I am finally posting my experience, and filing suit against him. He is a complete crook! Save yourself the nightmare and use someone else. Any favorable comments that you might read have been posted by Bob himself.
