I was led to believe by another contractor that my roof needed repairing. Williams Construction let me know it was okay and had been fixed a few years ago. They gave me helpful information with my future home addition project, and fixed my bulkhead door too.

My wife and I had just bought a condo in Dorchester, Ma. First floor of an older triple decker that needed a significant amount of work done (kitchen remodel that involved load bearing walls, bathroom updates and general carpentry throughout). I had shopped around for contractors and was quickly impressed by Rick's responsiveness, and attention to detail. Rick and his sons exceeded our expectations with their high quality work and commitment to ensuring no corners are cut and everything is done right. They cleaned up after each and every work day. We had a great experience with Rick and his team. They were fair and transparent through the process and delivered quality results. They redid our kitchen and living room including floors, covering a popcorn ceiling, new cabinets, countertops, electrical and plumbing. We brought them back again this spring to help with AC.

We had a tricky project that entailed separating a two-family house into two discrete units while not compromising existing details like a staircase railing and a curved wall. It involved removing several doors, rebuilding the staircase (once we pulled the carpet off and found it was a mess), adding a new wall next to the staircase. Rick and his sons were great, punctual, very neat, and considerate. They were very detail-oriented and came up with creative solutions when we couldn't do things exactly as we had planned. I thought his pricing was very fair. I would not hesitate to work with Rick again.

Contractor was punctual, and very helpful in giving his thoughts about the layout issues we're trying to solve. Ultimately, he didn't want to dive in before we had a design ready. Totally understandable, and no hard feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with him and thought he was reputable, had great communication, and was very careful about his work. I highly recommend him to others.

Rick and his sons did a complete renovation of our condo kitchen. This was challenging since there are additional considerations when working on a condo plus our building is almost 100 years old.

RIck and sons were hard-working and beyond dedicated. There were numerous times Rick went the extra mile to keep the project moving along when unforeseen obstacles arose such as: cabinets not showing up when promised, or coming in damaged, or pieces missing; unusual configuration situations requiring clever solutions, etc.

I would highly recommend Williams Construction. He did an amazing job on my basement renovation project where he added a full bathroom, wet bar, and additional storage area. I interviewed more than 5 contractors for this larger project and I am delighted I chose Rick and his sons. He took a lot of time even during the quoting phase to draw up a rough sketch and review plans with my towns inspectors to ensure we could move forward under the latest code. He is a truly talented professional with extremely high standards. The project took a little longer than anticipated but he was very good at communicating with me on timelines and well worth any wait. I have received so many compliments from family and friends on his craftsmanship. I am looking forward to working with him again for my master bathroom re-model as well as my fireplace re-facing. He and his sons provide top quality service and overall was a very positive experience for a project of this scope. I would definitely not hesitate to recommend!

When our downstairs room experienced water damage from a leaky pipe, we knew we wanted Rick and his sons for the job. We had a leaky pipe in the ceiling that caused water damage in the ceiling, along the walls, and on our laminate flooring (which Rick put in a year ago). Rick came to take a look and gave an estimate promptly. Once we handed over the keys, they took apart the flooring the day after, and when we got back from vacation a week and a half later, everything was fixed as good as new, w/ the same attention to detail as the first time. We really appreciate the work that Rick and his sons do!

This is the second time I have hired Williams Construction Co. Rick and the boys( Vinnie and Rickie) did and excellent job on a bedroom from top to bottom. They are easy to work with. Rick pays attention to details. and the boys follow Dad’s instructions. I plan to have more work done and Willianms Constrution Co will be doing it!!!

Rick spent a lot of time at the first meeting looking at the kitchen and evaluating the kitchen area for potential issues, which was unlike most of the other contractors who gave us a bid. This is a family business. Rick and his sons were all very respectful and easy to work with. Our neighbors noted this often. Rick was very good with communication throughout the project. They took great care with demolition so we did not get dirt and debris in any other area. He has a good eye for what may or may not work design wise and offered good suggestions that we appreciated. We had one problem with positioning of pipes due to town regulations and the layout had to be switched. This required reworking of a few cabinets, which Rick did very successfully. We are very happy with our new kitchen and recommend Williams Construction highly. In fact, our neighbor hired Rick after seeing our kitchen!

Rick and his sons did an absolutely incredible job on our laundry and closet installation. Rick came in to save the day after our first contractor really messed up the installation. Rick was very punctual, clean and thorough. The project was completed on time and Rick even worked within our tight time schedule and around our family visiting. Rick and his sons were extremely professional, very good at communicating and ensured our expectations were met. Williams construction went above and beyond to meet our needs. Everyday when I came home from work the job site was thoroughly cleaned and the equipment was well organized. We should have hired Rick the first time around and would certainly recommend him to anyone needing a contractor. I know we won't think twice about hiring them for our next project and look forward to working with them again!

Rick and his sons did an outstanding job for us for our new condo. He put in laminate flooring, a new backsplash, a new shower door, and new shower heads for us. We loved his attention to detail and also just how nice he was throughout the process. One example is that we mentioned once in passing that the bathroom fan was making a weird sound and the next day when we checked it was fixed. Another example was how they checked each laminate piece for even small scratches before putting it in. We definitely recommend him!

I was very impressed with Rick and would have liked to work with him. Someone else was able to get started on the most time critical project this week and Rick would not have been able to get to me for several weeks. I appreciate his effort in responding.

Rick and his sons repaired ice damage in our house that occurred over the winter. We received many quotes and selected Rick because he was the only one who covered every detail of the job in his estimate. Williams Construction did an excellent job. We are very happy with the completeness of scope, pricing, timing and cleanliness of their process. We were prepared to experience an inconvenience during the construction process, but that never happened. Every day the house (8 rooms affected) was neat and clean when we got home from work. I have since used Williams construction on another job in our house...because of our positive experience with them.

Rick Williams is a BIG step above the rest. We have used him and his crews for several projects, both for our own home as well as the homes of Real Estate clients. ALL of the results were as expected and more. He and his men are extremely versatile, having done rough carpentry, finish carpentry, painting, and tile work for me and our family. Lastly, he is very trustworthy. We have no reservations whatsoever about leaving him in our home while we are away. Had basement finished by Rick Williams of Williams Construction (in Massachusetts). Found Williams Construction here on Buildzoom. I interviewed a few contractors from Buildzoom but Williams Construction was the most reliable and the most professional. I also choose him because of his score. It wasn't the highest but it's pretty close. The other contractors had higher scores than Williams Construction but there was as issue with tardiness and professionalism during the first interview.

The basement was completed to my satisfaction. Rick showed up to work promptly. Gave much appreciated suggestions to help finish the basement. Answered text messages promptly and cleaned up behind himself most of the time. Completion time was a little behind but some of that was due to city hall. Williams Construction did excellent work at completing my basement and would definitely get my recommendation. I will hire them for my next job

Called when he said he was going to, gave great insight and perspective over phone consult. He will be coming in for an in-person consult on Friday. Really great experience.
