On 11/18/2015 I contracted Willis Builders to remodel 3 bathrooms. All bathrooms were to be gutted and completely remodeled. All plumbing was to be replaced, air venting and electrical were to be brought up to code. Willis Builders was to provide materials for subflooring, Duroc, dry wall and plumbing.
Matt Willis did not fulfill verbal agreements as to quality and type of materials to be used in construction, schedule of work, and who would be working on the project.
Willis Builders failed to follow the written contract. They failed to obtain all necessary permits required (ie, electrical, plumbing work, etc) therefore possibly voiding my homeowner’s insurance.
Willis Builders poor workmanship, substandard building practices, negligence in care and handling of property and materials resulted in subsequent damage to the home and materials purchased thereby creating safety hazards in the home.
On 2/13/2016 I instructed Willis Builders to stop all work on the house. On 2/18/2016, they entered the home while I was at work and continued to do work and did further damage to materials and my home.
Since contacting Willis Builders to outline the problems with this job, Steve Pattison tried to strong arm me into settling for less than what I have paid and the damages caused by their poor work. At one point he even told me that I would be fined because it was my responsibility to pull permits. He also sent an email to my girlfriend urging her to have me accept their deal (which turned out to be even less money than what he had originally texted me).
Due to safety concerns, I hired a licensed home inspector to inspect their work . The inspector cites structural damage, damage to the electrical and plumbing systems and damage to materials purchased. The inspector recommended that I hire a licensed contractor and structural engineer to redo the entire project.
