Followup to my previous review:
In a five year old Windsor home the windows are starting to fail. Now we need to spend thousands of dollars to replace the windows. It was a combination of the cheapest of the cheap product as well as shoddy installation.

Purchased a home that they had constructed. SO MANY PROBLEMS. Terrible construction, shingles falling of 1 year old homes, siding falling off, cracks and separating baseboards. Overall low quality.

The entire entire Windsor experience was a Circus. The day we arrived to close and complete the purchase on our house with animals in tow and ready to move in NONE of the utilities where connected and lots of people standing around. The house was not clean inside with paint spots all over the wood floor among other items and the rep was standing there wanting is to do a walk through and sign off on the property. I was livid to say the least. I really wanted to walk away and even give up my 2.5K deposit. But, they have you over a barrel when you show up to move in. As the previous poster said, all they give you is lip service and make excuses. I was not aware that not purchasing a "Custom House" meant shoddy construction with the worst interior finishing I have ever seen in my 66 year life. This post does not even come close to all the problems with this house. You ask for something to be fixed and all you get is some BS like you were born yesterday. After living in the house for 6 months and always finding ANOTHER problem I would advise people looking for a house to run and stay away from Windsor Built Homes.

Let me start out by letting you the viewers of this site know that I am a 40 Year State of Florida Licensed Residential Building Contractor. When I was told by the salesman John Norwood at the Maple Trace Subdivision in Weaverville, North Carolina that I should go find a custom home builder because I was asking too many questions that they did not want to answer or could not answer then I knew for sure that I was not wanted as a customer. One of many things that I certainly took issue with was that if you want to obtain a price on a "non standard" product that is not included in the home then they will charge the customer $200.00 to get you a price for that product you may want to add to the home. Should you decide that you do want that product then they will apply that $200.00 to the cost of it. However, should that product cost more than you'd like or can afford to spend then they keep your $200.00 as it is considered non refundable for their time in getting that price for you. Bear in mind that there will be a $200.00 charge for each and every "non standard" product that you want a price for and not $200.00 for as many items as you want priced

No warranty issues are fixed. Things are done poorly. The toilet was leaking and the plumber taught me how to fix it because he said the toilets are cheap and will leak again. E-mails are ignored. Waste of money.
