Had sent multiple letters to company to work on punch list. 10 years now and punch list never worked on. This builder said he hated the way that production builders handled there customers and wanted to be far better than them. In no way is Duguay any better than the production builders in the area.
The cost that The money that I have had to put out for items that are major screw up is up over 10k. The builders subcontractors screwed up in measuring the foundation so the builder made us pay the extra cost of brick work done 15k. Extra was paid to contractor to have heat adjusting showers controls in and they have never been set to the rights. Brick work on front of house let a river run under the house and had to install a sump pump. Drain line for sewer install never was sealed and had another river running under the house with it. A&E heating used the OSB for there heating that is supposed to be for the home owners. Duct work is poor at best. Finish work TRIM has stain on painted surfaces and nails that were never puttied. TV location above fire place not built out to proper size. Closet in room over the garage con not even handle a hanger in it. Estimated cost of all repairs and to get money back from builder that should not have been paid to him on the screw ups of his sub contractors is about 30,000.
Then this builder was even able to build a house for the parade of homes. No that is scary. DO NOT USE THIS BUILDER. IF YOU STARTED IN A CONTRACT GET OUT OF IT!
