I sent a bid request to this company for an HOA that I manage, and called to let them know I was sending it over. This was on November 3rd. I was excited, as the person who answered the phone, Luke, seemed very nice and said they would review and get back to me with any questions. The bid had a due date of the 20th, so I could get it in for review before their upcoming meeting. The 24th rolled around, so I called about 8:30am to ask for status. Luke said that he wasn’t the one who handles this, but he would call me back in a few minutes. 4 hours later, still no call, so I called to find out what was going on. Luke informed me that he didn’t think they would be bidding my job. I was absolutely incredulous. I asked him why someone couldn’t contact me 3 weeks ago and advise me of this, to which he replied, “well, if we didn’t get back to you in 3 weeks, I think we can all read between the lines, don’t you?” This is ridiculous, because I have never had a prospective vendor totally ignore a request for a bid, especially not one that could turn into a regular client! I told him no, I didn’t “read between the lines” because I have never had a vendor just ignore a bid request. He then informed me that he was the office manager, and there was no one above him, and to “not bother him with any stupid requests” from my office any more. Not to worry, Luke! I will be informing every property and Community manager I know, as well as every homeowner, to never solicit your services! Ever. Definitely stay away from this company!
