By Clare W.March 2, 2023New Metal Roof InstallationRead more
PLEASE TAKE THE TINE TO READ THIS!!!! VERY disappointed!!!. I had a metal roof installed in July of 2021. One month later during a rain storm, water started to come down the walls in my hallway and the bathroom closet. Of course, I immediately called Wright Roofing, LLC and told them what was happening. They did respond, coming to my home in about 50-60 minutes. I was told by the owner, Zach, that his workers had neglected to silicone seal the grey water vent on my roof. He made the repair, but not until damage was done to my newly painted hallway, bathroom closet, as well as, my hallway wood flooring. Please note: my bathroom had just been totally renovated and the hallway had just been painted. Furthermore, water had ran down into the encapsulated crawl space under my home, which my 73 year old husband had to clean up.
I told Zach, the owner of Wright Roofing, LLC, I wanted to be a reasonable customer knowing mistakes can happen. I asked him to pay for a contractor to repair the wood floor (the water had made it buckle in one area), to pay for the supplies needed to make the repairs, and to pay for the paint and related materials to repair my hallway and bathroom closet. I further told him, I would again paint the hallway and bathroom closet myself to save him from incurring more fees by hiring a painter to make the repairs to the walls. I think it is easy to see I was trying to be fair and reasonable. He agreed to these terms.
I’d like to mention, it took 6 weeks for him to reimburse my expenses and only did so when I threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau. At that point, Zach became quite belligerent informing me he had done me a favor by giving me a more reduced rate to install the new roof. He did reduce the fee, but only after a prediscussed arrangement to do so if I paid him cash, which I did. He further threatened to contact his lawyer if I did contact the Better Business Bureau.
Also, please note in an effort to show gratitude for what I initially assumed was a job well done by Wright Roofing during the installation process, I supplied the Workers with a cooler full of water, a box full of Herr’s snack bags of chips and other assorted treats each day. I also bought the Crew a Subway lunch the last day they were at my home.
Sadly, the poor workmanship performed by Wright Roofing doesn't end there. In November 2022, a contractor and my husband were doing work on the exhaust fan in the master bathroom. They had to go up into the crawl space attic area. During the process, both noticed pine needles laying all over below the ridge vent. Upon further inspection, it was discovered that no fiber had been place on top of the ridge vent which had allowed pine needles, dirt and bugs to get into the attic crawl space.
This time I text Zach, explained my concern, but got no response. Since texting is not the most reliable way to reach someone, I also sent an email and again got no response. I waited 10 days, but still no response.
At this time considering the winter season was upon us, I hired a contractor (cost of $393.47) to buy and install the fiber. There was no way my 73 year old husband could climb on the roof to do the work himself.
Receiving no response from Wright Roofing, I did contact the Better Business Bureau. I followed their protocol with the hope of reimbursement from Wright Roofing for the shoddy workmanship. The Better Business Bureau got no response from Wright Roofing in defense of their unprofessionalism and since the Better Business Bureau is not a legal entity, the matter was closed.
I did considered a civil complaint and filing a small claim against Wright Roofing, but the fees to do so would cost me approximately $150.00. I chose not to file a complaint based on the costs to do so versus the costs I already had incurred to have the fiber installed.
It is very disappointing to have a Company I’ve trusted and paid a lot of money fail in the workmanship promised. I believe Wright Roofing, LLC took advantage of us. It is my opinion, that consumers be very wary of Wright Roofing, LLC and you might want to consider a different company to assist in any roofing needs you may have.

Charged me for material that they didn’t use. Once I caught them and confronted they would not give me any refund and now my roof is leaking within 3 months and will not answer calls or come repair. Filed a complaint with state. State could not find a valid co tractors license.

Still waiting on a return phone call. I paid 500.00 for a small roof repair that took 10 mins, and it's still leaking. I have left several messages, and called several times. I will continue to call and also notify BBB. I don't have money to throw away. I was told it would be fixed its been paid for and should be fixed!
