My experience with Wynne Homes was nearly flawless. I purchased a home that was "in progress" with My Realtor's help in early March. After viewing the model home floor plan I wanted, I was ready to sign the papers and write a check. I've had many homes built in the past 35 years of moving around the country and this time was no different. The open floor plan of one level living with four beds and three full baths is exactly what I wanted and needed in order to size down. There were a few snags along the way due to worker shortages thanks to Covid and the 2020 lockdown thanks to our wonderful government and crazy price changes which was agreed upon in advance knowing full well the situation. Workers not showing up is not the builders fault and I went to the site everyday for 6 weeks until the closing date and move in. There were a few hiccups along the way which is to be expected unless you've never had a home built, you'll not understand. I'm enjoying my new house and turning it into a home. I'll do it again if and when I need to make another move in the future. Nothing is forever. Thank you for a positive experience during a difficult time of home buying and building in 2022.

Do not do business with Wynne Homes. They are liars and bullies and will cheat you out of your time and money. We signed their contract without negotiation in January. In May, after very little work had been done, we were told we would have to pay them tens of thousands more dollars if they wanted us to continue to build the house. They said they had no timeline and could give us no status. We knew they were actively trying to get us and others to cancel so they could repost our house at a higher price. Two more months went buy and they had done zero work on our lot. When we asked for a status they said they wouldn’t give us one and had no idea when they’d get back to work on the house. We finally canceled out of frustration costing us 8 months and thousands of dollars. They refused to communicate and the slight communication we got was mean and contentious. Don’t ever do business with these unethical liars.

The layout of the home was great but my experience with Wynne Homes was not very good. When I moved in the kitchen cabinets were filled with dust, the vents were not cleaned from construction debri, all windows had paint splatter all over the outside, the front door handle was scratched from the stone masons and I was told I probably did it, my basement flooded due to a faulty sump pump within 4 months of living there. I could go on and on. Frozen pipe because there was not enough insulation under the shower drain. Once they had my money they pretty much ghosted me.

They do not hire good contractors. The tile jobs are messy and the try hiding major issues. They also are very unresponsive.

Horrible experience. The work was less than average. They obviously don’t care what kind of contractors they hire to complete build jobs for them. They left multiple things undone, and every time we approached them about them, they said they would not be taken care of until the yr warranty timeframe. You don’t get to speak to anyone, they just expect you to go online. When elderly people are buying from them it’s awful that it’s the way they take care of things. Most 80 and 90 yr old people don’t get on the internet to communicate.
Very poor business practices and I will make sure I relay that to anyone that I see asking about their work. I would consider that taking Advantage of elderly people.
They left a hole in the siding big enough for a bat, bird or rodant to get in. I approached the project manager on site and he was rude and said I’m not fixing that. There’s nothing wrong with that! That it was ridiculous that I was even bringing it up to him.
I paid someone else to come take care of it for my 91 yr old mom. They are awful!!!
