BEWARE! SCAM! Took deposit and ran! Never did the job. Contract says he was going to start two days later. Never showed, never called! Then when you finally get ahold of him he says he'll be there that weekend. No show again! Says machine broke. Never answers, avoids you.

I don’t write many reviews…but this is one of those situations where I had to. So let me see if I can make this interesting…at the outset, I want to tell you all that Frank (the owner of Xtreme) is a very polite gentleman. Unfortunately, that’s maybe only nice thing I can say about him
Act 1/
Day 1
Here’s how I ran into Xtreme. They were at my next-door neighbors ripping out their driveway. I saw someone, who I thought was the owner in the work truck, and asked him to stop by for an estimate. This person, an older gentleman, came by 30 mins later and gave me an estimate.15 minutes later - Frank enters the scene. Shows up frazzled and angry and says what work did you sign up for? I point him to the older gentleman and ask Frank to talk to him. Frank stomps away saying he’s the owner of the business. I see Frank yelling at the older gentleman in the truck.
In the evening, Frank stops by and tells me a wonderful tale. The older gentleman who is now napping in the truck is his great uncle and has dementia. Frank has been asked to “watch” him for the day. Oh by the way, the price quote I was given, is going be about 10k more. I asked Frank to walk away - but he’s a sharp businessman and very persuasive and can I remind you, very polite. He gets me to a number that’s 2000 more than what his Uncle said - and I, in a moment I will regret, agree to the work. I ask Frank when the work will be completed - he says middle of next week. Frank also asked that I leave a good online review - of course after I see what a great job he’s going to do.
Frank’s crew shows up and starts to rip out the driveway that evening itself. So far, so good…
Act 2/
Day 2 - no word, no Frank, but it’s Sunday so not a big deal
Day 3 - no word, no Frank, it’s Monday. His crew showed up at 8 to take away their earthmover though. No rain
Day 4 - no word, no Frank. It’s Tuesday. I call his cell. Voicemail is full, can’t leave a message. It does rain in the afternoonDay 5 - still no word, no Frank. It’s Wednesday. I call his cell. No answer, voicemail is still full. I text, no answer.
I call from a different phone line - Frank answers on the second ring. Still as polite as ever. I ask when his crew is going to be back. “Well, I ordered some supplies for your neighbor. They will be in stock next week.” That’s a shame Frank but that’s not what I asked. When can you get my driveway done? “It might rain today so I’d say next week - Tuesday or Wednesday”. That’s a whole week after what you told me, Frank. “Well, I can’t control the weather”
At this point, it’s important to note that it’s not the weather delaying us. It’s Frank not wanting to get his equipment out to finish my job until the supplies for my neighbor come in. I point that out to Frank who again blames the weather.
I tell Frank - I have family coming over for the 4th and am sitting on a ripped out driveway that was supposed to have been completed today. I have been calling for days with no answer and no update from him. I remind Frank that a good online review is not likely at this point. He says he can’t help it. I remind Frank that if any of my neighbors ask, I won’t be able to recommend Xtreme. Frank says he can’t help it.
Act 3/
Frank shows up. And I know this might come as a big twist in the tale - but does a piss poor job on my driveway. I have a driveway that has a giant seam (where water collects every morning) and Frank’s response to that it - too bad. That’s how it is. By this point, I have run out of patience and I start to yell at him and his work. His response “I could rip it out for you”So yes - that’s the story of Frank and Xtreme with my driveway. If you enjoy rain, torture, or overpaying for shoddy work - please hire Frank “Frankie” Magill and Xtreme. If you like getting good quality work done at a fair price, you may want to keep searching for other options.
// end of story
Now I was a betting man, I’d bet that Frank will respond and say that none of this happened. He will say that he can’t control the weather. He’ll say that this review is inaccurate.
I ask you - the reader - to think about what would motivate me to take 30 minutes out of my day to write this. There’s only one reason - I was taken advantage of. I am writing this review only to warn others so that no one else get the Xtreme Xperience I did.

Frank paved our driveway in a rush and it started crumbling under our feet within 2 months. I supposedly have a 10 year guarantee, but he has lied to me so many times, I doubt he intends to honor it. I will be reporting him to the better business bureau and every agency I can to prevent him from taking advantage of anyone else as well as seeing a lawyer.

Came across Xtreme paving while bike riding around my Freehold township neighborhood with my young son last summer and saw them at another job. They quoted me a reasonable price and assured me that everything would be done correct. Frank also assured me that he would address any issues or concerns should they arise in the future, even offering me a 5yr warranty. Immediately after the job was complete, (August 2017) there were issues with the asphalt missing in areas by the garage doors along a zip drain. After repeatedly calling Frank, he finally came back and his “remedy” was to add driveway sealer to fill in the gaps where asphalt was missing. It didn’t resolve the problem. 2 months ago, after countless phone calls, he agreed to replace the section under the garage doors and reapply asphalt. After multiple times of him promising me he would come on this day and that day, he never showed. I’ve taken off of work 3 days already as his open promises never materialized. I’m furious and my next step is small claims court, which he must be used to by now. It’s been 1 1/2 yrs now and I’m out of patience with this guy. My advice is even if he quoted a job as free, stay away. It’s not worth the time and aggravation. Get a respected and qualified paving contractor. If they are more expensive, there’s a good reason for it.
SIDE NOTE..His family member is in the same business. They apparently are not on speaking terms and accuse each other of stealing each other’s jobs. He came by to offer me a sealing price and pointed out all of the shoddy and unacceptable work that was done and offered to repair at no charge. I allowed him patch the missing places but this only came up when driven over and made its way into my house and damaged my hard wood floors. He meant well, but the correct fix is to tear up and replace like Frank agreed to but never happened. STAY AWAY FROM XTREME PAVING. You’ll be sorry. Tony Gubitosi. -

Xtreme was doing neighbors driveway and quoted ours (after seeing that we needed it bad). We had been getting estimates and there price was a little lower than the best we had received so we decided to go for it. While it seems like the job is done well contractor asked my wife for $150 extra over estimate after completed job.
At best I find that to be inappropriate and for that reason would be slow to reccomend this company. -

I had a great experience with these guys. They were willing to show me their work before they were paid. If I was not happy with the project we could negotiate and they even said they would not be paid for unsatisfactory work. With so many companies to choose from picking the right company was difficult...this made my decision easy! Show me your work first, not just pictures or happy clients. That made me comfortable with my decision...you decide for yourself!!!

Be sure you do not pay Frank Magill before he completes ALL the work agreed to in the work Contract. If you do, good luck in getting him to come back and complete the job. I would not recommend this contractor to anyone else.

By Robert L.November 19, 2015driveway sealcoat$2751 dayNothing but a drive-around scammer
Xtreme paving prayed on my Dad, who is 89 years old, by knocking on the door and getting him to agree to resealing his driveway, which needs a lot more repair before any resealing would even be appropriate. When Dad thought it didn't look good from the living room window, Frank convinced him to pay for 2 more coats which he promised would make it look smooth and good as new. The actual result is absolutely awful, as you can see in the photos I shared here. There are patches of the driveway (existing ) that were bare (down to the dirt) and grass growing up between cracks. Magill just painted over both the dirt and the grass (yes, black grass)!! This is the worst kind of contractor there is, a shameless scammer. My Dad tried to reach him to come back, but he won't return calls. Notice that the supposed 5-star review posted above is clearly by Mr. Magill himself (it even says it's by "Frankie M.") and not any actual customer, even though the "review" states the name as ricky todd jones. People like this should be in jail, not licensed by NJ to fleece the elderly!

I hired Frank and Xtreme Paving to do 2 of my business lots and it has been a nightmare since the beginning. He doesn't show up when he says he is going to and makes excuses. The worst part is I paid over $23,000 dollars and his work is falling apart after 10 days. He said he would take care of it but it has now been 3 weeks and 3 different times he was supposed to come and fix it he no called/no showed. I emptied out my lots and lost business so he could fix his poor work, this cost me even more money. I even had his cousin in my store who did the same line of work and said he would fix it. Hopefully, this review gets his attention and he makes it right, if so I will come back and update it. Until then take a look at his work and tell me is this someone you want working on your property?
