Thumbs down. The only reliable people were the office personnel, ************ The main contractor was Dam** A good talker of what is going to happen with my home project but a short cut & shoeless worker. Who comes to a job not wearing shoes. He dumped buckets of plaster water into my bathtub. Not once but several times. Another worker, just as lazy was to put up insulation before the blue board & didn't. I even went to the home store to buy the insulation to save them a trip. When putting in my new windows through out my home they didn't mention they do not put the trim back up but that was my fault because I assumed they did. If it's not in the contract they are not doing it. They also have sticky fingers. Also left tools in my yard, cigarette butts all over my driveway & on my garage floor. Broke into my jeep to move it & unplugged the battery to shut the alarm off. I work 20 minutes away, all they had to do was call me. **** came out & fixed my hot water tank after ************ took the short route & screwed things up. I had water leaking in my basement because they didn't want to replace a feeder pipe. **** was a good worker! Wish I had him from the beginning. He cleaned up after ************ & couldn't explain their laziness or mess.

I hired You Name it Contracting because their prices are very reasonable. I was a bit hesitant (bc of some reviews I read) but once I saw the work I couldn't believe how professional it looked! I'm guessing those with bad experiences simply did not communicate what they wanted. This company is usually booked months in advance so if you don't get a spot in right away you may be waiting awhile. I am pleased with my experience with them.

We saved for 11 years to make "dream" improvements to our home. YNI gave us a nightmare. Over 3 agonizing months they wasted our savings and time, severely damaging our home with workmanship so poor that the structure they built had to be demolished. This is not a matter of being "picky" or "hard to please"--their work did not pass inspection against building code in our municipality (Shaler Twp). The cost of correcting the damage is tens of thousands so far and may be $100K in the end. Before they bid the job, we gave them a scope of work, a list of chosen materials, and plans from an architect. They created a chaotic, filthy jobsite; the workers milled around without direction, flicking cigarette butts and urinating against the walls of our garage. They spoiled materials through careless delivery/handling/storage and didn't seem to understand how to manage a construction project. One of the first items workers brought onsite was a lawn chair to rest in! I initially believed they did not realize their own incompetence, but after they abandoned the job we discovered live outlets and bathroom vents that they had covered over with siding, and saw how they tried to disguise work that was structurally unsound. Seems like they knew their work was incompetent and aimed to take advantage of us. They always accomplished the most when we were not at home to watch and ask questions. Examples: top plates in framing are supposed to use two 2x4s; YNI used one. They didn't notch rafters where they rested on beams. They cut roof gable joists and didn't re-support them; they hacked through beams that they installed themselves... the list is virtually endless. We have photos. If YNI worked for you and you're happy--consult a structural engineer. If YNI worked for you and you're not happy--complain to the PA Office of Attorney General and the BBB. If YNI has never worked for you, congratulations! Keep it that way.
