DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, Dustin Vaughn, Dustin Vaughn Construction LLC, or Your Local Construction!!
We hired Dustin on Dec.20,2023 to build a detached garage with an apartment, as well as do several other remodel projects on the primary home on the property. We paid him $153,800. We were told the project would take about 4 months total. In February 2025 14 months later Dustin has still not completed the project. He abandoned the project without notifying us, and attempted to sabotage it so that another contractor could not complete it.
He intentionally misled us, extorted us, and stole from us. He knowingly improperly removed asbestos from the property. He built our building in the wrong spot. He did not get all of the required permits from the City of Pensacola. He did not get a roof permit, installed the roof without the proper license, and installed it incorrectly, so we had to completely replace the roof. He did not follow codes on quite a few things. He told us he did not know how to make a site plan, and we had to do it ourselves. Overall he was a complete nightmare to work with. Now that he has abandoned the project we have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to complete it.
