Somehow, our posted comments about YYB Construction, also know as ED Construction and the non-contractor Eli Dagan and his wife Minnie Spalter who actually signs the building permits but has never been on our job, went to this innocent contractor Called GMBC.
We posted on Thumbtack, directly onto YYB's page, and their comments were hacked to another contractor on Thumbtack as they started to run. An suspended contractor license may do that. We do not know GMBC Construction, and apologize for whatever happened on the web. The many bad postings for YYB Construction are now gone, as they are fleeing the Bay Area. We lost $148,000.
If you are looking for YYB Construction, Eli Dagan who is NOT a general Contractor, or ED Construction which has a license now and then, please feel free to contact us through a class action lawsuit. We have the pictures they deleted from the web, and they will be in Florida or Israel by now. [email protected].
If YYB Construction worked on your house and the names "Ellie" or "Armando' as the foreman sound familiar, contract the contractors licensing board immediately. Have your house inspected immediately as he did not use trade workers, he used day workers. We have over 400 pages of text with pictures where we tried to get YYB to fix our home. Every sub-contractor he hired had to have the work done two to three time, and it is still not right.
Nine month of bad work, seven months of arbitration. If you are looking for these two crooks, just google 'Dagan Spalter 2009' and the wedding pictures they couldn't delete are still there.
We had YYB Construction, under ED Construction, Eli Dagan General Contractor, for 16 months! He changed his LinkedIn profile to 'project manager' now, along with personal trainer for seven years, when we questioned the suspension. He said he was a general contractor for 15 year during the first interview and that means he was a general contractor when he was 15. Of the five contractors on Thumbtack we interviewed, three had the same price as Eli.,
He uses a group of non-speaking Hispanics for most of his work under his foreman Armando, and the first licensed HVAC sub-contractor we demanded would not connect to the work done by YYB, really Eli Dagan Construction.
Eli Dagan and Minni Spalter (Menucha Rochel Spalter) just moved into a new house in the Bay Area, and drive Lexus cars. We have a house that is unsafe, and there are four of us that are disabled and trusted Eli Dagan.
Just google Dagan Spalter 2009 and a full page of their wedding pictures come up.
All we wanted was our money back to start over the full house remodel we paid for. We also have $19,000 in missing property, just what we know about.
Eli Dagan offered us $15,000 for our losses if we didn't call the police, my wife's wedding ring is $17,000 alone and we used her grandmothers ring and our two original wedding rings to make my wife's ring.
We never extorted him, we paid the day we made a change order. We are on disability, and no longer have a house we can live in for the next 20 years. That wasn't even our money, my Mom left it in her will. It's all we had.

This company is your worst nightmare!! Ripped me off for $48,000.00. Did a bait and switch scam on me. I paid for one type of roof construction and got a totally different and crappy job. They play off the blame between them and their sub- contractors. And their subs do crappy work. Break everything. Leaving dirt and roofing material all over inside and outside of house. They are nothing but salesmen, not roofers. I knew people like this that sold services then did not deliver Took the money and ran, setting up shop again under another name and Lic.

I was looking for a good painter for a while, my neighbor across the street recommend me YYB CONSTRUCTION he really loved their paint job! David from YYB came by and gave me a quote on my exterior painting job.. the price was a bit over my budget but he sounded very professional and convincing so I went for it and spent the extra money.. I'm so happy with their job I'm giving them a 5 star

Don’t hire this company they lie we are 6months into a basic kitchen remodel and none of the subs did anything right has done anything to make this work... we never thad a generator Contractor onsite that is illegal EVER to manage project. Denise Bodor, she is horrible person and lies. All she cares about it making a sale! Daria Sullivan, should be fired, she is there project manager and does not know anything about remodeling. They yelp their subs to come fix all the stuff they screw up! I rate them a one star DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY! check there licenses they gave a lot of disappointed customers

YYB was hired to install a new HVAC which included new ducts for our home. They successfully updated and we included a new roof and solar to the project. Little did we know this company would be a nightmare. We had a subcontractor quit on YYB and they threatened to place a lien on our home. Instead of removing the ducts as promised when the roof was removed, they only cut out a portion we could see. They released asbestos into our home and put our family and neighborhood into a serous health risk. This was only found after a year of complaining the system wasn't working properly. Now they won't come into our house to fix what was promised because of the asbestos that they released.

This company YYB is a scam folks. Do not work with this company ever. They've botched my kitchen remodel, way over priced, they will argue with you over design ideas and hire sub contractors to do the job. These guys aren't contractors, they are salesman with no construction background. avoid them at all cost!

I worked with David during a job, I thought was minor for the cost you charged. I told him I was paying too much for them to lay flooring in 2 small areas, which I provided the material for. So he complimented me a few handyman jobs that would not take too long. The workers he provided were incompetent. They left me with the jobs undone, and responsibility to purchase new material ( Hand rails) and a light fixture that hangs lopsided. I also had to call in someone to hook up my new dryer properly.
I would not recommend you company to anyone if you have these kind of workers working for you. Also the flooring that was laid, they did not put base all around the perimeter, and there were gaps left around the edges. Tracked dirt, and left a divot in new floor. On top of that David insisted I pay the balance after everything was over, and I pointed these flaws out to him as well. This was not a satisfied customer. -

Once we were connected with Jonathan of YYB construction, we had a good experience having our roof replaced. The roofers were very nice and respectful, they cleaned up after themselves and did a solid job. The pricing was very reasonable as well.
There were some issues getting someone to come out originally and with the scheduling beforehand, but the company made an effort to resolve this and ended up doing a great job!! They even got the roof done quickly during the busy rainy season. It is obvious that their company is comprised of caring people who care about their customers and a quality product.

YYB runs under various shell construction companies in different states. Gold Remodeling is one of their companies in Washington state. We hired them to remodel our bathrooms. They took 50% of deposit before they did 1% of the work, left all electrical outlets & plumbing in a dangerous condition posing serious injury/health risks. They wanted the full payment before proceeding, if not, they threatened to place a lien on our home. They are a fraudulent company that will give you nightmares. Do not hire Josh Blum, they will run with your money and threaten you for more.
