Would not recommend them for anything. They just do over stuff that doesn't look right and don't show you why your roof looks that way when finished. And at that time to late so you are stuck with the out come. And Your customer always comes first. No communication. No broken down receipt for supplies. It passed inspection so That I good bye .

By David M.May 4, 2023Basement entryway and bilco door replacement, other small work.$7,000
Since they keep removing my posts and reviews on social media I figured I’d take to the google and web. Beware! Beware! Zaffino And Son ConstructionThese people are possible frauds!! Paid $3,500 and look at our new Bilco doors and entryway. Got a new concrete wall and plywood lol. Not to mention the wonderful damage they did to our driveway and washing out in our yard. He even had the courtesy to put his cigar butt out in the waste and leave it here for us. About 4 weeks later after all this rain and he says he’s not coming back because he’s afraid he’s not gonna get paid in full!!! After a $3500 down payment? Give me a break. They’ll be receiving something in the mail for sure. Should have just done it myself but thought I was gonna save time!!!

He installed a new kitchen including backsplash and appliances and painted our living room/kitchen with high ceilings. We couldn't remove all the furniture so the high ceilings were difficult. That being said, he used a template to install the handles and pulls on the cabinets and still managed to drill holes in the wrong place on 4 of the cabinets. He corrected them, but now I have 4 brand new cabinets with obvious hole fixes. He installed a two piece butcher block counter and didn't fill in the seam citing he didn't want to sand it because the wood underneath the stain might be a different color which I appreciate, but there is a seam in the middle where food and debris can collect that should have been filled in. There is a lot of paint on the trim, new cabinets and counters as well as grout throughout the house. He said it was because he couldn't use scaffolding because our furniture was still in the house, but the worst areas of paint are on trim well within reach. It's also apparent he didn't use a drop cloth as there is spattered paint all over my one year old LVP floors. He did fill and smooth areas where an old security system was removed and they look good, but failed to fill in large screw holes where the old cabinets were and just painted over them as well as holes from curtain rods over two sliding glass doors. There was also a spot where we had to have the drywall cut (another project a long time ago) that he patched. We are going to have to redo that because the spackle job is awful, not even sanded. When he painted, he missed a portion of the wall when he did the first coat and left it with only one coat the next day and didn't put the baseboard trim back. I guess he didn't feel like or had the ability to cut the backsplash tile correctly so he permanently removed a piece of window molding that had diagonal cuts without consulting me and damaged the sill. He left the molding on my deck along with all the other garbage he said he would take. My husband called him and asked about fixing his mistakes. He said he would have to charge us more because he said he didn't know I wanted a "new" house...? HE got the paint and grout all over the trim, cabinets and counter. HE failed to fill in the screw holes from the old cabinets HE removed. He even came to get his final check and had a conversation with my son where HE pointed out the mistakes and admitted he did a bad job. It was clear he didn't think fixing his mistakes was included in the price he quoted us initially. If you like being misquoted a price and paying for mediocre work that you have to go back and fix yourself, then he's your guy.
