ZB Construction & Plumbing ("ZBC&P") remodeled one of the bathrooms in our house and also repaired and installed other items. Three workers from the company worked at our home: Zbigniew, Krzysztof, and a helper.
There were a lot of issues with their work. They were arrogant and took a lot of shortcuts.
They did not adhere to Schluter installation instructions for the thinset and Kerdi Boards. They spot bonded thinset on wall and shower tiles and used thinset to level the walls because they did not level the walls at the start of the job like we recommended they do, leaving much more than the required 1/4” thinset layer. We have yet to install the bathroom mirror or shower glass because we fear the tiles may crack or fall off. We are unable to use this bathroom to this day.
They did not complete work according to our contract, but I had to pay for these items anyway.
The owner ran over two boxes of new doors with his truck while backing into our driveway, did not express responsibility for doing so, and decided to install these doors anyway. Even so, the doors were installed incorrectly in a number of ways. The owner was aggressive and easily aggravated when something did not go his way. I also witnessed crude and unacceptable behavior. He has a lack of respect for women.
ZBC&P also poured concrete to fill a void in the concrete floor of our loft, and it cracked within a few days of it being poured.
They incorrectly measured drywall in our basement and installed it with large gaps. The drywall in the bathroom also cracked because they did not tape the joints.
They poured dirty water from the jobsite in our backyard.They only returned 50% of the costs needed to repair their mistakes.

ZB Construction & Plumbing turned out to be genuine magicians: high quality work (even fixing some of the errors a former contractor left us), completion inside the time estimate they'd provided, for the price they'd given us, and smart, funny, creative people working together from before 8am until close of the work day.

ZB construction did a lot of excellent work for us this year and last. They installed a new bathroom in our unfinished basement then they finished our basement, a new bedroom and a family room and laundry room. Then we had the build us a patio in our backyard. ZB construction were so great to work with. The high quality of their work, excellent communication, they clean up their worksite everyday, their prices are fair. I have recommended them to many friends. They were recommended to me by several friends. You would be lucky to get to work with them I highly recommend.
