A new porch was added/ along with a new roof 1 month before we purchased the home. The roof / addition somehow passed inspection, 1 day after we moved in we started to have problems from poor workmanship, no starter strip, used old chimney flashing , weaved wrong, shingles cracked, home now had severe condensation issues. When he rained outside/ it rained inside from the turtle vents/ both chimneys etc... we had to leave this home 9 months after purchasing it, The home had severe issues. Jay Zierden promised to come back to fix it, never showed, refused our phone calls . We have over 100+ pictures of our Hermantown Home showing all the damage/poor workmanship/ insulation and ventilation issues. We didn't hire Jay/ We just had to live with the damage to the dream home we thought we purchased 1 month after we closed.

We hired Zierden Builders to build our home. He was a delight to work with and his employees were polite and professional. Our home was built with energy efficiency in mind and it has surpassed our expectations in efficiency of heating and cooling. We have lived in our home for several years now and have been very happy with it. We would hire Zierden Builders again in the future if we decide to build again.
