Zila industrial repairs was hired on Aug 1st to repair a crack on an International 4900- 12,000 lbs. tree spade. Estimate on the job was 4-6 weeks and $4,000- (no more than) $6,000 Peter Zila called me with a question regarding a problem with the transmission after having position of the truck for six weeks. He claimed a fuse was blown. He was bypassing the starter and working on the truck without telling me the transmission was not functioning properly. On September 9th he took it upon himself to tow the 45,000 lbs. tree spade with a "friends pick up" to my house without my approval or any notification. The weld was completed but the truck still did not run. At this time I asked for a bill and was charged $7,225.63, and paid him 100% promptly. This was $1,225.63 over the highest possible estimate. I then had the truck towed to Lakeside International at a cost of $300.00 by a professional towing company. Lakeside International fixed the truck in 10 days, at a cost of $5255.00 their diagnosis was the TCM was blown/burned. I tried to discuss this with Zila Industrial Repairs. Peter insisted Lakeside International was "Lying to me and ripping me off". I then sent the TCM computer to a transmission programing company to have it analyze at a cost of $180.00. The technicians results were "The TCM unit was shorted out by an outside electrical source" and "It is not possible the unit went bad on its own on the truck" "To many burned and blown circuits". After discussing this with Peter Zila he said “they were lying and ripping me off also” Zila Industrial Repairs now refuses to communicate with me, no emails, no phone calls or texts. I now have a truck that has a completed weld job that is what I consider good welds but sub-professional finishing touches. I seems like he just wanted to quit working on it and towed it back to my farm to “get the truck out of his yard”. The cost of all this is just over $13,000 and no communication from Zila Industrial Repairs to resolve this dispute
