My Elderly Disabled parents were solicited by Vernon Lawson who is a licensed Roofing inspector who works for Zinc Roofing, Inc. He asked my Parents if he could contact thier Homeowners Insurance as he was dialing the insurance Company using his cell phone he handed my Parents a clip board and asked for initials. Vernon stated it was not a contract and it was not legally binding it was only to give him permission to speak to the insurance Company. (This was in August). In November my parents got thier roof done with another company. The owner of Zinc Roofing, Inc. Came to my parents house bannging on thier door and harrasing them. He stated they were in breach of a contract and is trying to make them pay $3,500.00 for work Zinc Roofing, Inc did not do. My parents did not sign a contract and let them know they were not going to use their services. My Father is a Vietnam Veteran and is 100% disabled. My Parents were never asked by Zinc Roofing Inc to sign a contract. My parents were not advised of a contract in late October when they opted not to sign a proposal from Zinc Roofing, Inc. A contract was not mentioned when my Parents advised they were not going to do business with Zinc Roofing, Inc.My parents have been receiving threatening calls and are being harrased by this company Zinc Roofing, Inc. Causing my Parents unnecessary Stress and anxiety.
