Carpet to Laminate Flooring
The project involves removing the existing carpet and pad in the loft, preparing the subfloor for laminate flooring by removing tack strips and baseboards, cleaning the subfloor, and addressing imperfections, e.g., remove glue and any staples. The removed materials will be dumped offsite.
Eco Cork Foam (ECF) underlayment and laminate planks will be installed as a floating floor in the loft and closet. 100% silicone sealant will be applied around the edges, and new baseboards installed, with painting done separately.
