Our antique house, divided into a 3-unit condominium, is on a hill in Providence. The brick foundation needs some repointing, and there are a number of leaks and water splashback issues. The wood stair porch is causing a leak into the wall and one door frame. Another door needs to be reframed and trimmed. A window is being affected by stormwater that runs down the sidewalk hard up against the wall, which remains wet at the juncture for an extended period after rain. The DPW cannot replace the sidewalk at this time. A recent gutter repacement and removal of the downspout at that location have improved the situation. Our 3-unit condominium is in an antique house in Providence on a hill. We need a consultation on the brick foundation that is leaking at the wooden stair next to it. A door under that is leaking around its trim. Another door and window are affected by splashing and stormwater, although the issue is better after having replaced gutters and moved downspouts. The sidewalk hard up against the house on the hillside was partially inadequately pitched, leading to wetting at the juncture that takes longer to dry after rain.
