  I can't thank the owner, Mike of 7 Diamond Builders and his complete staff for their incredible work on our new screened in Lanai. Yondriel's Team did a fantastic job. A very hard-working team. They really paid attention to details and it shows in the final product. Every day they came to the job with a smile on their face from start to finish. Camila and Lupita kept my Wife and I informed throughout the whole process from start to finish too. Numerous texts were sent to keep us up to date and when the workers would show up. A fantastic experience which exceeded my expectations. A great business to hire for your building needs.

  Lanai

  I hired 7 Diamond Builders in January 2025 for a residential repair project. Within 30 days, I paid them more than $10,000 upfront, based on their verbal and written assurance that the work would be completed within 3 to 5 months. As of today—well beyond that timeframe—no work has been completed, and the project remains stalled due to their inaction and poor communication.

  After signing, communication quickly became inconsistent. The company has been unresponsive not only to me but also to my insurance company, which made several attempts to request standard documentation. Multiple adjusters were sent to the property and tried to reach the contractor. Once the adjusters requested a line-item estimate, the contractor stopped responding altogether.

  I made a face-to-face visit to the City of St. Petersburg Permit Department on July 10, 2025, and was informed that no site plans had been submitted. A document from 7 Diamond Builders confirms that the City last contacted them on May 19, 2025, requesting more details—yet they never followed up. This has prevented the permit from being issued and left the project in limbo.

  When I requested a refund due to the months-long delay and lack of progress, I was told I would be charged over $5,000 just to cancel the contract, even though zero work has been completed. This is unreasonable and unacceptable.

  Throughout this process, 7 Diamond Builders has deflected responsibility, blamed the City and the insurance company, and refused to provide documentation unless forced through formal complaints. They even threatened to charge me for following up on their lack of performance.

  This company has shown itself to be unreliable, unprofessional, and unethical. I’ve had to file complaints with state agencies and contact the media to protect myself and warn others.

  If you’re considering hiring 7 Diamond Builders, I strongly advise you to reconsider. My experience has been a costly lesson in what happens when you trust the wrong contractor.

  Build a 9 x10 sunroof with insulated roof.

  $12,000

  Leaking sunroom roof. Multiply attempts to get warranty work fixed. Promises to come out and address these issues failing. Work processes out of order. A load of pavers parked in driveway blocking my car for leaving for 2 days. Horrible experience!

  Remodel the sunroom

  We contracted with 7 Diamond Builders to do our sunroom over. After working with the planning and design people the project began. The 2 workers that came and started the demolition and the process of assembling the posts, rails and panels were 2 brothers, the Romero brothers. The two showed up every morning and went right to work showing that they knew what they doing. As the project started to take shape they brought the windows and the double opening French Door, now the project moved into the finish stage. The brothers went about finishing the sunroom. They caulked, made all the adjustments on the windows and door as needed, and cleaned up, a very professional job. We would highly recommend using 7 Diamond Builders, and

  new roof

  After the issue with the color was straightened out the work was finalized in February 2022. I am glad we waited for the right color. After hurricane Ian we had NO ISSUES with the roof, when new homes across the street had extensive roof damage. Since then I have been referring May Custom Homes to everyone who talks to us about roofing damage. So when I talked to our home owners insurance company she said our insurance amount would go down if we had a wind mitigation. Living in North Port where the winds were over 150 miles an hour for extended periods of time during hurricane Ian, I told her that should be proof enough. I just want to say thank you to May Custom Homes for doing such a great job. We appreciate you.
