I also got them through a warranty company. They came and fixed the plumbing problem. My husband had just had surgery so I was helping him out. They left our house and took all my husbands tools. I called several times no return call. I called the plumber who fixed the problem and said his partner took them by mistake. A week later no return call from owner and no tools returned. BEWARE ! Of them stealing!

Like the one-star reviews - Fidelity National Home Insurance sent them after my water heater broke. Untrustworthy, rude, confrontational, and unprofessional. 2 weeks later still no hot water. Fidelity asserting this is the ONLY area provider for them.. Are they in cahoots so people who do not feel safe with Garcia Mechanical do not get services as promised?

By Catherine L.July 26, 2021Repair to swamp cooler, electrical issue$0
Not good, not trustworthy. My warranty company sent this contractor to me to repair a wiring connection between my thermostat and swamp cooler. Two individuals came out twice and to be honest they seemed confused, one smelled of pot both times. They were slow and incomplete in their communication to my warranty company. I am starting over and making sure that the warranty company vets their contractors carefully. 1/5 with the BBB, 5 claims in 12 months, comments are harsh but true. This outfit doesn't appear to even have a website. I have to agree with the first review on this company, BEWARE.

BEWARE - THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND LIARS -
If I could rate this place a negative, I would. They were called out for a Warranty Repair. Not only were they late, I had to call to find out when they would arrive. The 2 men that arrived were not so nice. They climbed on my roof said everything looked good. Climbed in my attic to find the duct has been almost stepped on. I just bought my house, and do not go up there. They said they would file the report. This was all covered under my warranty.
Come Monday, they call me to tell me they are on their way and it would be roughly $600.00 to repair. I said NO, I will not pay that. The owner of the company, Adolf, called. He said that it was not covered under the warranty. As I tried to talk, he talked over me, had no respect and eventually said I hope you burn with no A/C.
Long story short, that day another contractor came out, fixed my duct and my A/C was good. All for the lovely cost of $75.00. The contractor that came out, said he has had numerous complaints about this company.
After speaking to my Warranty Company they flagged his account and advised me, they lied about the repairs as well.
This company has been reported to the BBB as well for awful, unethical work.
I would NEVER EVER allow them to come to my home again.. or anyone else I know.
They are scammers, liars and thieves. -
By TriahMarch 18, 2021It was a furnace warranty claim$75
I had A.Garcia Mechanical come out to look at my furnace through a warranty claim. Got a call from a very professional young lady and set me up with an appointment the very next day. The technician showed up on time I even got a call prior to arrival. The technician explained exactly what he was doing to the furnace had the parts in his van and my furnace is still working great to this day. Will definitely use A.Garcia Mechanical again. Very happy customer

The home warranty company sent them to my home and they found that the inspector never really checked one of my floor furnaces. The owner suggested that I put in central air and went through all of the work he would do plus a rough estimate right there on the spot. I was actually the late and unpredictable party, but the crew dealt with it with a smile on their faces. They were professional and polite. They had me check their work throughout the process. They answered all of my questions. The final price of the project wound up being very close to the original on-the-fly quote. Also, Christina, the person handling business on the back-end did the same. I wound up being kind of a bitch after a super-stressful week and she took it in stride. I will not hesitate to call them in the future when my old house inevitably needs some more work.

Had an appointment for Friday for our furnace being out. Appointment was confirmed on Tues., scheduled for 11-3pm on Friday. Called Garcia at 1:40pm on Friday and Christine verified the technician would be out shortly. At 2:00pm we got notified via email that the call was cancelled by technician. When trying to Christine back, only until we blocked our caller ID did she answer. We had make about 7 calls prior to that. When I did get talk to her, she then stated our call was set up for yesterday. ??? why did she just tell us the technician was going to be out shortly. When I tried to ask her about this, SHE JUST HUNG UP.. I guess they don't need our business. Must be nice in this day and age.

February 28, 2020water leak$1,500
Mr. Garcia was very rude when he got home three hours late. He asked me several personal questions that demonstrate his lack of professionalism. Instead of repairing the water leak on the bathtub floor, they replaced something else!! Later I was told that "they don't repair water leaks" I recommend double-checking their license status with the license board

They were early, friendly and knowledgeable. Had the part in their truck so there was no waiting for parts to come in. I was extremely satisfied and highly recommend A Garcia Mechanical!!

Fast, friendly, straightforward and best of all, knows how to fix what's broken with parts they keep on the truck . No waiting at all for our 2 different a/c repairs!
Most importantly, our repairs keep working perfectly!
We so recommend A Garcia for any HVAC repair!

10 weeks without ac during the summer months because A. Garcia Mechanical said during their consultation for my warranty company that the compressor needed to be replaced. Two weeks after the part was ordered by the warranty company I was told it still was not in. The warranty company called the distributor who stated that A. Garcia had picked up my part although they said they didn’t have it. The warranty re-ordered the part… A. Garcia kept saying the part wasn’t in until I called the distributor myself just to find out it was.
Fast forward to a week and a half later when they were scheduled to come make the repair. They were supposed to be here between 8-10:30am and didn’t show up until 1:30pm. While they were here my husband and I could hear them discussing how confused they were that we were told that the compressor needed to be repaired (they didn’t know we could hear them). 40 minutes later the ac was working.
THE HUGE ISSUE was when the tech told us we owed $395, as agreed upon for the potion of the repair to replace the compressor not covered by my warranty. The only issue is that they didn’t replace the compressor. When my husband asked if we could see the old compressor, the tech got defensive and said it was in the truck. My husband stated that he didn’t mind walking out to the truck to see the old compressor, to which this man replied that they have to send the old compressor in as an exchange for the warranty company. This makes sense but we still wanted to see the old compressor. We walked out to the truck, the man opened the back doors, pointed to a box in the back, my husband opened the box himself to find a completely new compressor.
When confronted with this information, the man said that it was our compressor and we can have it if we want… uh it’s not ours, it’s the warranty company’s and why would we want it if that wasn’t the issue with our ac? The tech then told us he wasn’t going to charge us for the work he did… he never really told us what he actually did but from what we overheard it was a burnt out fuse.
I reached out to their office and was called a liar and told that the tech said that my husband was angry because we wanted a new compressor. Why on earth would we want to pay for something we don’t need and wasn’t installed? They also said that what he did for us was preventative maintenance and that’s not covered under our warranty… mind you they didn’t mention any of this until they tried to charge us for installing a new compressor that wasn’t actually installed. I was told that it’s working now and to enjoy my ac, completely condescending. How are these people still in business???
