A.B. Cook and Son put in a patio door and a regular door for me. The patio door was defective upon installation, which Mr. Cook acknowledged the defective door and promised to replace under warranty.
After over a year of trying to get Mr. Cook to honor the explicit and implicit warranty on the door, I took him to District Court and won the cost of the door and labor to install. Mr. Cook has yet to honor the judgment, and so now I have to go to Clearfield and have a lien put on him and his business.
If this is the kind of business you like doing, by all means, go with A.B. Cook & Son. On the other hand, if this sounds like a huge headache and something you'd rather avoid, then you might look elsewhere.
