    This review is in regards to a driveway sealcoating job done by "Jake" and another man on our driveway on Monday, Oct. 2, 2023. I believe that Jake is an employee at Advantage Paving, but this was his side job.
    I called and spoke to the woman answering your phone on the morning of Oct. 2. My husband and I had delayed in having the job done, but we wanted to take
    advantage of the warm, dry weather on Oct. 2-4. The phone receptionist said that Jake had a cancellation that day and could do the job on the side. We were given a 2:00 appointment.
    My elderly husband worked hard to prepare for the sealcoating. He trimmed and cleared some over-hanging hedges, he carefully edged the driveway, and he used our leaf blower to clean the driveway of debris.
    Jake arrived about one hour late (without a call or text) along with an elderly man who worked with him. He quickly measured the driveway, and, when I asked him what the project would cost, he asked the other man, who told him it would be $350 (we had measured approximately 1878 square feet, but I bellieve that Jake calculated a smaller total)
    After working a short time, the other man asked us if he could use the outside water, which my husband allowed. My husband watched as the man added water to the buckets of product. They ran out of product before completing the apron, and without saying anything to us, they left.
    They returned about an hour later (again not texting or calling us) with more product. When it looked like they were finished, we went out to look at the job. I paid Jake with a check, but my husband told them that he wasn't happy with the job, pointed out problems with the job, and when they argued with him over the job, he angrily told them to leave. Some areas are very noticeably lightly covered and should have had more undiluted product on them.
    I called your phone number again on the next day, explaining the issues, and the receptionist said she would talk to Jake. We haven't heard anything since, and after thinking about it, I decided that I should send you our comments.
    We are disappointed and realize that we shouldn't have even accepted this job to be completed as a side job, and there's no reflection or responsibility on your company. The star rating that I must select only refers to this person.
