We just closed on an Affluency Home in Dallas, TX on 3/25/2022. We ran into a number of minor issues during inspection. All of the issues were quickly fixed except the hot water flow throughout the home. The builder's plumber couldn't seem to fix it prior to closing and insisted that we just fix it through the warranty. We declined and requested the issue be fixed prior to closing. When it wasn't, we held funds. The issue was then quickly resolved, but 5 days after receiving the keys (the home remained unoccupied) we found the word "nigger" scratched into the side of our kitchen cabinet. We will likely never deal with the builder or contractors again after this.
