  Elevate my house

  I am extremely happy and impressed with my experience with Audrey and son. Shorn company.. they kept me up-to-date with what was happening day by day and let me know what each phase of the project would entail.They were extremely clean working from makeing sure all of the dirt that was removed from under the house stayed in the grass leaving the side walks clear when possible . I was very impressed with the fact that the boss was always on site and makeing sure everything was kept clean as his workers worked and that what needed to be be done was being done. I was also very pleased with the fact that I was able to call Brad any day of the week if I had any questions. I asked about getting a porch that went all the way across the front of my house and I was told that it was bigger than what they normally do, they didn't back down from the challenge and it turned out great .in closing, I cannot say anything but good things about my experience with
  Aldrete and Sons Shoreing Company. Thanks again for doing an amazing job in a timely fashion.

  level house

  When I had them come out to show them all the problems with the job that they did, they said they leveled the house to make the bricks straight because that's "what people look at". Apparently, they assumed that the bricks were parallel with the slab and floors and didn't take the extra time to verify. I knew the brick courses on each side of the front door were at different levels, but they assumed the bricklayer used a string line when the bricks were originally laid so they jacked on the left side of the door to get the bricks to line up which did damage to the foundation, bricks, roof, and framing. The floor on the left side of the door is about 3/4" higher than the right. The floors are out of level about 3 1/2" from left to right at the front and almost 2" front to back on left side of the house. If they would have at least gotten the bricks leveled, the floors would be better. A good contractor would own their mistakes and at least try to fix it, but instead gave me B.S. not even a typical homeowner would believe. I was very busy at the time they worked on the house but did point out a couple of problems I saw. I didn't know it was this bad until I put a level to it and looked everything over. I trusted them because of their reputation and they were recommended by two friends. The price was at the lower half of the bids I had received, but cost me more in time and aggravation for the little in price difference, and then you add in lawyer's fees, etc. NO, I would not recommend Aldrete and Sons Shoring Co.
