  Hid behind their incompetence and inexperience. We were essentially taken to cleaners. Beautiful area but DO NOT DEAL with this company. The behind the scenes dealings with contractors to bilk the new homeowners was atrocious. Such a shame.

  Our recent experience was a horrible nightmare dealing with the owners at Allegheny Mountain Development during our river home build.
  *Zero transparency: Collusion of the developer and builder were never disclosed and several owners were extorted during and after final payment.
  *Poor management of the sub-contractors led to excessive costs without explanation and proper record keeping by AMD.
  *The inexperience of the General Contractor was very apparent early in the process and their sub-contractors lacking proper skill sets, building code requirements all led to unacceptable quality of work. Many of the homeowners resumed control of their contracts due to this specific matter and completed their builds independently.
  *We had a cost plus contract but were never provided receipts or explanation of increases. Many of us received bills 12-18 months after closure of the final payment. Zero change fees and proof of work were never provided or addressed until counsel was involved.
  We have never dealt with such incompetence, lack of accountability and unfortunately excessive overages consistent with the majority of the owners within our development.
