These guys are the real deal. I hired Alma for my coffee shop and they went above and beyond. They were very upfront throughout the whole process and provided all the guidance and help I needed. They were also communicative and responded to all my inquires and a timely manner - something that many contractors lack. It was such a pleasure working with Alma, and I would definitely hire them again for my future projects.

We have trusted Alma Design with a high-end renovation of our condo in Manhattan and could not be happier with our choice. Serge and Amir are both remarkably professional and delivered exceptional service and quality of work. They took care of all the permits, negotiated all necessary approvals with the building, and were able to accommodate working remotely with our designer.

We would absolutely work with them again for all our future projects and cannot recommend enough to everyone else.

This was my 3rd major project and my 3rd contractor. After working with Amir and Sergio for 5 months I can definitely say they will be my first repeat. These guys are the real deal. They backup everything they say and do excellent work! I can text them on a weekend and get an immediate response, (helpful when in Home Depot!). Really nice guys with nice employees. They strive for perfection and customer satisfaction to the point they have no problem doing something over (on their own dime) if not 100% satisfied! I highly recommend them and would absolutely call them back for my next project.

I have never worked with contractors as deeply concerned with my happiness about the job as Serge and Amir at Alma. They truly went out of their way for us. Whenever something frustrates me, I just look at the floor the laid for us and immediately feel better.

I am so in love with my new kitchen and bathroom! The quality of work is exceptional, communication was effortless, and all the work was completed in a timely manner. I live on the 32nd floor of a 34 floor building, our buildings roof had a major flood during the last storm a month ago. Alma Design has been doing a lot of work in the neighboring buildings and a close friend of mine recommended them. They completed my mold treatment, then skim coated my water damaged walls and removed my water damaged old flooring. They recommended new flooring which came out great in just 2 and a half weeks they fixed my apartment I’m amazed.

Alma Design did high end finish work on my town house on the ground level. I had another contractor start the project, but due to the numerous delays and workers not showing up we let them go and found Alma Design. It honestly was night and day from our first contractor. We had 2 meetings a week to address the work that was to be done. Delays simply were not an issue, a good portion of the work was done, but they ended up demoing and re-doing a portion of the plumbing because it was not done correctly. They were able to finish the project with level 5 finishes as promised and on time (1 week behind schedule) which was absolutely not problem for me as they ended up doing more fixes than anticipated to make the work look great. If you are looking for quality and experience this is the contractor you must use.

My husband and I closed on a COOP apartment in the Forester a Douglas Elliman managed building in Queens. Alma Design has renovated 15 apartments in this building and came highly recommended. We did a full gut renovation, new walls, new floors, new bathroom, new kitchen. The project took exactly 2 months as quoted. The work is beautiful we are extremely happy. The workers were very professional and our foreman was always present. We never had issues with delays or them being late, which made things work smoothly.. We highly recommend them, they really know what they are doing. 5 stars!!

I was looking for a contractor and a some ideas for planning a new layout to the ground floor of my house. I had a number of quotes but I was very impressed in the meeting my husband and I had with Alma Design. They helped us figure out how best to layout the kitchen , living room, and the stair case to create an open space feel. We ended up hiring them for this reason and the help continued. We shopped with them for tiles and kitchen cabinetry they had some great resources and great contacts that helped us come to a decision. The project was finished on time which was very crucial for us as we were hosting a big family gathering and everyone was impressed. I recommend them to all my family and friends as I believe we got super lucky to work with such a trustworthy contractor.

I fond Alma design on Yelp. I called them for a free estimate, and they did a very professional walk through. They suggested some things I was planning to differently and explained what the options were and the their suggestions for the best route. I ended up hiring them because their knowledge was far beyond the other contractors I got estimates from. They were on time, allowed me to add extra ideas to the project and the communication was fluid. I was happy the project was done in a timely manner and I was very pleased. If your considering Alma Design I highly suggest you take the time to really engage with them and listen to their suggestions. I’ve had other contractors before but this was by far the best experience I had.

My husband and I were looking for a contractor for a apartment remodel. We closed on a property and found Alma Design. Within one month they had us living in our newly purchased home. I was looking for a contractor to do a full 1 bedroom coop remodel, basically a guy job. Alma Design came in with a fair estimate, not the lowest bid but with their experience I decided to go with them. The work came out excellent. There attention to the finishes really made my project stand out. I have a modern apartment and what it looked like before just blows my mind. I highly recommend Alma Design and will be available to speak by phone and provide pictures.

After searching extensively for a contractor for major work that needed to be done at my house I was finally able to find a quality contractor in Alma Design. It's not every day that you find a personable and caring contractor who is willing to offer his help at any time of the day. Leaks in my house have been an incessant problem that several contractors were unable to fix. Luckily, Amir took the time to properly analyze and fix a problem that has been going on for years. The job was done properly and the price was very fair. I now have a contractor to recommend to friends and family for any repairs they might need.

I found Alma Design from a refferal from my friend Ilya. I hired them to skim coat and repaint my full apartment I had just purchased. Took 2 weeks and the walls came out great. There wasnt paint stains on my floors which I was worried about and no problems with clean up. I reccomended them to a few friends and co workers already.

I hired Alma Design to renovate 2 full bathrooms both were total gut jobs. They also re did all my plumbing work. The building approved them quickly as they had both GC licenses a plumbing licenses. The work came out great, they did a great job water proofing as I had a lot of water damage from my past work. The work was done on time. I am very satisfied with the experience.

I hired Alma Design to renovate my apartment. I had several contractors evaluating the project and I felt most comfortable with Alma Design. They are very professional, they did an outstanding job. They were very patient when it came to details and went out of their way to complete the job on time befor the holidays which made me extremely happy.

I hired Alma Design to renovate the 2nd floor of my house. They skim coated and painted the full second floor and also did a minor bathroom renovation. They protected my house properly and made sure there was no damage to anything. The walls and bathroom came out exactly how I wanted. They were on time and easy to deal with when I had questions/suggestions. Everything went smoothly and I had no problems. I really liked the way they broke down the payment structure and all communication was very convenient.

We hired Alma Design to build out a medical office for us in NYC. The office consisted of 5 separate exam rooms and a main office with a waiting area. Alma design was very professional, they completed the job in the quoted time frame. They where helpful with shopping with us for materials, suggesting interior design schemes, and working through new ideas we had that were not planned. We would highly recommend them and plan on using their services again.

After weeks of research, multiple quotes from other contractors and a few false starts, we ended up choosing to work with ALMA, and were glad we did. Their prices were fair and the work was done well. They finished up our medium-sized job (new floors and a full kitchen renovation, including minor demolition work) within the time and cost specified in advance, conveniently handling every aspect of the work themselves, and maintaining clear communication throughout the entire process. I would not hesitate to hire them again for another contracting job.

We had a great experience using Alma Design to update our kitchen. The job was too small for most contractors, but Alma were attentive to us from the beginning. Communication was amazing, as we wound up waiting six weeks for coop approval, but they were still ready to start within days. The workmanship was great, and they came up with creative solutions to the retrofit of some oddly shaped areas.

We would unhesitatingly recommend them for your next project.

I found Alma design online and immediately called to set up an estimate because I was looking for a new contractor for my remodeling project.
Unfortunately I had a lot of problems with my previous contractor, who came highly recommended by a friend, and was very hesitant of hiring somebody without any recommendations or reviews.

Amir, the general contractor and the company owner, came to the house and as soon as he walked in to the door I felt at ease. He reflects calmness and confidence that was lacking in my previous contractor. The price was competitive. I called my husband and said "I found our gen contractor!"

Now when the project is done, I can only say good things about Alma design. it's the first honest contractor I've met in a long time. Alma design team did an amazing job! Amir was always here, supervising and making sure everything is done to our satisfaction. The entire team is nice, quiet, non smoking, not drinking, very patient and hard working, with very high level of professional skills. From delicate mosaic to hardwood floor, everything is very leveled and precise. And the team members are really proud of the work they are doing, which puts them above most construction companies I've met.

In other words, I am glad I trusted my intuition and hired Alma design.
And today I, with full confidence, recommend to all of you still looking!

If I could give more than five stars I definitely would.
It's very difficult to find a good contractor. It's almost impossible to find a great contractor. What typically happens is that you agree on a price, you give your contractor a list of tasks and then you have to hunt them down to make sure those things are actually done. Alma Design delivered well above and beyond our expectations. Amir, the company's owner, is a very attentive, very hands-on, and very honest businessman. In any contracting job, there will be times where you'll have questions, concerns, or ideas. Every time we had one of those situations, his answer had been the same "we'll fix it." And fix it they did. We did a full renovation of a two-bedroom apartment and half-way through the job added a bathroom renovation to the mix. Because of Amir's expertise and suggestions we actually ended up with a better-looking place than we had even envisioned. The job was done within the time frame and, most importantly within our budget. This is really a one-stop shop and they can do pretty much everything and/or provide referrals for high-quality professionals. A few of our neighbors after seeing our apartment ended up hiring Alma Design to handle their renovations and I've been giving their contact info to multiple people, from my friends to my realtor, something that I almost never do.

Long story short, if you haven't decided on a contractor yet - stop looking and hire these guys!
