I wanted to write because I had the privilege to deal with Aloha Air for the first time today. My usual A/C guy semi-retired and recommended I try Aloha Air when my A/C condenser died. So I called them and was immediately given an appointment that very day with a 2 hour window for the serviceman to come.
Sure enough, Marcus (?) (I'm not sure if it was Marcus, or Marco...sorry...)but he did arrive on time. He was very friendly and didn't mind my 8 very large dogs who immediately clamored to him.
Marcus went right to work and it didn't take long for him to figure what the problem was. He replaced the condenser all the while engaging in friendly conversation. I can't express how grateful we were that he was willing to put up with our nosy dogs, which I will say are a handful when company arrives.
When Marcus was done replacing the condenser, he should have been done with the service call, but instead he said "Let me rinse off your coils, they are awfully dirty." Grabbing the nearby hose he hosed down not just one of my A/C units, but BOTH of them! AND not only that, he saw that dog hair had gathered on one side of one of the units blocking the intake. He took out his pick tool and tediously pulled the hair away from all those coils! I think we were both surprised at how much hair actually came off those coils! When he was done there was quite the pile, you would have thought that a dog had been shaved with that much hair! I had no idea this was happening and was truly grateful that he showed me as it was causing the A/C unit to work extra hard and not have the efficiency it should due to the coils being blocked.
Finally the job was done and as I went to tip him outside he insisted that it was not necessary and refused to accept my tip.
I ask you, how often does that happen??? Very rarely and with all the extra effort he put in to make sure my units were running as they should, he definitely deserved the extra payment. But he said no.
I would recommend Aloha Air for anybody needing A/C work. They are honest, friendly, reasonably priced, fast service and go the extra mile. Thank you Aloha Air for being such a great company! And thank you to Marcus for doing such a fine job today, we really appreciated you. :)
